Doesn’t actually work for backend login! Plugin is suppose to add a “Login with Okta” (or similar SSO login button), which it does, the whole setup took a while, but eventually the button appears on backend, Okta login works, but plugin doesn’t not work and does not log you in WordPress backend.

Redirect to specific page after Okta login

I am setting up a site that will use Okta for SSO. I have things working pretty well, but I ran into one problem.

When the visitor goes to site.com/visit-this-post (fake url, of course) they are redirect to Okta to sign in and then are redirected to site.com – the homepage of the site.

Is there a way to for the visitor to go to site.com/visit-this-post after the Okta login?

I was able to configure the plugin with Okta by simply following the setup guide provided in the plugin. Awsome plugin and very easy to configure.

400 Bad Request in Production Environment

So when I follow the instructions in my Okta dev environment, I’m able to follow all the instructions and get the Okta login working properly. Unfortunately, when I try to do the same instructions (or as much of the same instructions as I can) in my Okta production environment – I get a 400 bad request error.

Is this Okta authentication app ONLY supposed to be used with the Okta dev environment or can it be used with the production environment as well?

I’m integrating a WordPress blog with Okta.

I’ve followed the guide provided by Okta (https://community.okta.com/docs/DOC-1240) step by step. Double checked all the configurations various times.

1 – When I login into Okta, and then I access the wordpress app, it gets stuck in a redirection loop. I look into the request, and it seams that Okta is providing all the SAML information and credentials, but somehow, the plugin doesn’t catch them.

2 – Other thing I found weird, is that the General page of the plugin, the “Your Entity ID:”, “Your Single Logout URL:” and “Your SAML Assertion Consumer URL:” fields are empty. I had to check the values in “https://myblog.com/wp-content/plugins/saml-20-single-sign-on/saml/www/module.php/saml/sp/metadata.php/1”

Any idea?
