Hi, I would like to just change the number of posts displayed on the blog pages from 10 to 9. Is there a setting to do this in customiser?

I specified 40 “posts per portfolio page” and 40 post through “settings > reading > blog posts” and I am getting a 404 error when I click “next” on the portfolio page.

Any clues about what might be the trouble?

I’ve tried to increase the number of posts shown via the Settings, Reading menu but it doesnt seem to work beyond 15. Is that the limit?

I cannot edit the number of blog posts shown on the home page. It’s stuck at 19 and it won’t change, regardless what I do in admin>settings>reading.

I’m using the latest version of WordPress. I’ve deactivated every single plugin. I’ve activated different themes. Nothing doing.

I don’t have a clue why it won’t work. Any suggestions?

This problem occurred with 2.7.1 and is still occurring with 2.8.

It happens with any theme, so does not appear to be theme related.
It happens with all plugins deactivated, so it does not seem to be a plugin conflict of any sort.

My client’s blog https://tinyurl.com/cd5slm is set to have the Front page display blog posts. But no matter what value is selected for the “Blog posts show at most”, the home page shows all blog posts, currently 36.

For the life of me I cannot find out how to fix this. Any ideas as to what could cause this and what a remedy might be?
