can’t upload media files on new Mac?

It seems that I am suddenly (since November) unable to upload PDF’s or any files to the media library without getting an error.

Whether it is “file might be too big on”Unexpected response from the server. The file may have been uploaded successfully. Check in the Media Library or reload the page.” on safari

or “400 bad request” on chrome…

I asked others and they are able to sometimes… One person said they were able to on an old Mac but not on her new one…

Has anyone experienced this or have any solutions? DESPERATE!!

New Photos Not Loading After Uploading

I recently added 4 photos to my gallery and i can see that tey have been saved. I have tried refreshing the web page and the new images still do not show up. Is there a latency issue between save – uploading on site?

I cant seem to find whats wrong. I have tried clearing my browsing history, using incognito and using a different browser.

Images not diaplaying on my site

Images that I upload to my site on wordpress are not showing on all the pages in my site. Even in media library, the images are not showing. When I tried inspecting the site, I realized the issue is that the images are missing. They are still on the site, but are not displaying. I’m using the latest version of wordpress and betheme 21.9.9. Images from external plugins like Twitter and Facebook are showing perfectly, even google ads. I can’t also upload new images to the site and the old images just show blank screen unless I try to edit them in media library. When I try to view the image on the main site, I get the error – We cannot complete this request, remote data could not be fetched.

Theme won’t upload

Just bought a new domain and hosting and theme and the theme won’t upload when I try in the backend. The site keeps “crashing” with a “Safari Can’t Open the Page” error.

AI1 WP Multisite import stuck at 5mb

We recently installed the AI1 WP Migration Multisite plugin and have not been able to import a site developed for us by a 3rd party and exported using the AI1 WP Migration tool.

We either get the “Preparing to Import” notificaiton which seems to be stuck. We have left it for 20-30 minutes for a 30mb import. The file in the {plugin-folder}/storage/{key} seems to be stuck at 5mb.

Or we get the error regarding unable to authenticate with a key.

We host our own server on an Ubuntu server, running Nginx and PHP 5.3.10.
I’ve tried different browsers (Chrome & Firefox) and the behaviour is identical.
The file in the storage folder is stuck at 5mb and has been unchanged for 30 minutes.

Are there specific settings that the WP server needs to have to allow larger uploads to successfully process? Your app did state that it sent the file in chunks allowing large files to be imported.

Ecommerce shop gone- Now Fatal Error

Upon updating to the new version of Jigoshop, my entire shop part of the site disappeared. I tried to restore to last backup, couldn’t. So I uninstalled Jigoshop, went to Jigoshop.com and downloaded the version there. Uploaded it, and got the following error. I am sorry but I can only read it to the point of “/jigoshop-ecommerce/vendor” I don’t have it broken out by vendor.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[‘ in /home4/emurphy/public_html/funtillucum.com/wp-content/plugins/jigoshop-ecommerce/vendor/nikic/fast-route/src/functions.php on line 12

Any suggestions on how to install the Jigoshop plugin and how to correct this issue.

Not uploading to Subdomain

I migrated a WordPress site to a new domain > mynewdomain.com
Then I created a subdomain and added directories > media.mynewdomain.com/wp-content/uploads
Then I uploaded the year/mo. directories to uploads on the subdomain.
Then I added https://media.mynewdomain.com/wp-content/uploads to > “Full URL path to files” field for the plugin, and saved. All of the images show up.

But when I add https://media.mynewdomain.com/wp-content/uploads to > “Store uploads in this folder” field for the plugin it creates a subdomain named directory inside the main domain’s root, when the real subdomain director is outside of the main domain root. When I leave “Store uploads in this folder” empty the uploads go to wp-content/uploads of the main domain, but don’t show in the library.

How do I get the images to upload to https://media.mynewdomain.com/wp-content/uploads when using the Media Library uploader?

I cannot upload any media without getting error “An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later.”
I have disabled all plugins and also tried a new browser but I am still getting the same issue.

Broken images/Cannot upload images to product catalogue

Colleagues,

I can’t seem to upload images to my product catalogue anymore.

I was able to a few weeks ago, however recently this function has ceased.

I try to upload from my media file by navigating to the specific image and opting for it.

The system appears to go through the motions, but the image does not appear in the catalogue.

Occasionally, though not always, I have the small broken image icon in the top left hand corner of where the image should be.

Images which were working have recently dropped off when I try to add additional images to the specific product profile – say two or three images of the same product from a different angle.
