The Gute developers should have spent more time making this a solid, dependable, working editor.
I wanted to dump Elementor and go with the new Gute Block editor. I found some nice third party block developers. I can understand and accept that there will be a learning curve.
However, I can’t accept the same problem keeps coming back.
Specifically: Every time I go back to edit a page I get the followering:
“This block contains unexpected or invalid content” Resolve – Convert to HTML” > I click resolve > then convert to blocks. Then I have to ‘re-align’ all texts that were “centered” because now they’re aligned left. EVERYTIME! Yeah, I’m yelling.
(note: this issue was posted in the plugin support forum. — no solution!)
If it wasn’t for this ONE issue I could tolerate the other minor issues. I don’t want to be spending my time having to ‘reset’ my content every time I want to edit my content.
So as of today, I’ll go back to the free Elementor. I doubt that I’ll ever come back to using this new-not-ready-for-prime-time block editor.
It’s a shame. The Gute developers had a great idea. However, they pushed it out without fully developing it. The shouldn’t use the general public as beta testers. We’re bloggers, not beta-testers for a block editor plugin.
]]>A feature that would allow you to turn it on and off for different post types such as use Gutenberg for posts but not pages. It is lacking the functionality/customization necessary for anything other than the simplest of blogs such as Medium.
If they can make it to where I can move an img block and place it into a paragraph block without the float destroying the child/sibling elements I might have a bit more hope for this.
]]>But I’ve never worked with an editor that has more bugs.
* Freezes
* Can’t preview
* Can’t publish half the time
* Doesn’t autosave (error)
What’s worse is that I didn’t have these problems with Gutenberg a few releases ago. It seems to get worse with age.
I’d pull it until it works. By letting people use something that’s a year away from reliable, you’re turning off potential users.
]]>This must be a new product. I love the concept and really need it to work but so far lots of problems.
A new revision has been announced but the standard notice and plug-in rev upgrade do not work. The author directs us to a menu item to correct this but the menu item doesn’t exist.
From little things like the sound doesn’t work in the example video, the ATP code “whatever that is” wasn’t included with the receipt and only came after I requested it. Other bigger problems like upload problems that the author blames on “internal server error”. No instructions. Image field is not uploading missing. Author directs up to an image import option that doesn’t exist.
Before uploading I deleted several products. However, after an upload, all products previously deleted return. Delete them again, upload a file and the same thing happens. Just like Ground Hog day.
This product is not ready for prime time. Support is slow and frankly there are just too many problems to bother with.

]]>Is there any plan to enable translations for this plugin?
I am very used to buy plugins and themes when they offer the features I need, however there is a minimum I require when buying WP software and being able to translate it into multiple languages is definitely one of the most basic things we should get for a paid plugin. I haven’t bought this plugin yet, but surely I wouldn’t do it just for this reason.
By the way, I am a PHP developer myself and I know perfectly well that developing translation ready plugins for WordPress is neither difficult, nor time consuming, so I do not understand why developers just do not take the effort to offer this feature.
