I am using the ASHE PRO theme, and I cannot for the life of me figure out why there isn’t an option to comment on my blog posts. I have the comments enabled on both the “customize setting” on the ASHE display, and on the discussion section.

Please help! I am brand new to web development, so I may be missing something obvious… I have also tried other forums. This is a blog theme, so I assume commenting built in?

This may be a clue: it shows the wrong IP address with the messages and it shows it when I post a message with either of my computers.

To try to fix this problem, I began using the Comment plugin Disqus, which replaces the default WordPress Comment code. This does not fix the problem.

I deactivated all of my installed plug-ins, then went to my very 1st post, I scroll all the way down to the bottom of my article…

There is no comment box, or a place for my visitors to leave a reply!

Is there a way to allow comments as a default setting without having to check that box each time for each post?

If the answer is code related, I would very much appreciate detailed how-to instructions as I know nothing about code but am brave enough to give it a try.
