I am trying to set up a notification to send an email to the author of a specific post. I would like that author to receive an email whenever there is a new comment on the post, is this possible? It would be a specific post, not all posts if that makes sense?

New Comment Notifications Not Sending

I just realized that for awhile now, new comment notifications were not being triggered. They are not even in the e-mail log (via Post SMTP). I have gone over all the settings repeatedly, but nothing stands out that might be causing this. I’m going to assume that it has to do with the new Gutenberg editor. I use the option in TinyMCE Advanced to replace the Gutenberg editor with the classic editor.

Is that what’s causing the problem?

For now, I’ve had to disable the BNFW plugin and just suffice using the native WordPress notification e-mails (which they should provide a way for us to customize!).

About “New Comment” and “Page – New Comment”

I found that “New Comment” have a new option named “Do not send this Notification to the User that triggered it” . I think it is a great function. Unfortunately, it only takes effect on article. “Page – New Comment” and other custom post type don’t have this option. I hope they also have this option like article in the future version.

New Comment email goes to vendor

Hi,
I have a multivendor marketplace website whereby vendors load products and customers purchase them. I downloaded your plugin because I want to edit the email that gets sent to vendors when customers comment on their products.
However, I do not see the ability for me to configure that the ‘New Comment’ email gets sent to the vendor who uploaded the product. It only allows me to send to a specific person or role group.
Please assist.

When anyone writes a new comment, a broken image is shown. Please guide on how to display a customised icon or any ‘general’ icon? or to display nothing there?

Hi!
I have a question regarding the “New Comment” notification. Am I correct that it will send notification only to the person who wrote the post or to all website users?
If I have a situation when there is:

Post from author 1: “Hi there”
Comment from user 1: “Hello”
Comment from author 1: “How are you?”

When I use “New comment” notification, can I set it up in a way that user 1 will receive a notification about the comment “How are you?” from author 1? Or is it only possible when author 1 hit “Reply” button?

The thing is that users of the website not always see the “Reply” button (and just reply in a new comment), so I would love to make sure that they receive a notification about reply even if it’s posted as a regular comment. Would that be possible?

Ticking the Send this notification to the Author won’t hide the Send to field, and you’re required to select at least one Role/User for the notification.

So what I have to do to have the notification sent only to the post’s author?
