Neoclassical theme – featured image metabox missing after WP 3.8 upgrade

I am using a child theme of neoclassical and just upgraded our Dev WP site from 3.4.2 to 3.8.

The issue is that in the dashboard, there is no more featured image metabox. I identified the theme as the issue after switching to Twenty Eleven and seeing the metabox appear again.

In the console, I am getting two 404 errors in Dev that I don’t see in production (which is still using 3.4.2):

Interestingly, these files don’t exist in dev or prod, so I’m not sure what is calling these fields? Again, no errors in prod.

Are these errors red herrings? Any suggestions on how I can get the metabox back on the dashboard?

Trouble with Neoclassical header

Hi, I just switched themes to neoclassical and am wanting to upload a new header, as well as take out the current rotating headers. I’ve tried uploading my url image into a few different places as suggested, but the most I’ve been able to get rid of is the upper rss.

I know this should be a simple task, but I just can’t seem to change it.

Any suggestions on how I can do this?

RSS feed on Neoclassical Theme – only summaries

Hi guys,

Since I changed my theme to Neoclassical, my rss feed only shows summaries without the images despite having the ‘full posts’ tab checked.

Could someone advise me on what to do here, I need the images to show so that Bloglovin pulls the images up.

Neoclassical Post Page

I’ve added a horizontal menubar on the neoclassical them and i’m using the most recent post page as my homepage, however I want to move the text from the post down a little bit, as it looks a tad cramped.

It was pretty easy to do for pages using
however i’m unable to find where i would need to do this for posts.

I’d be grateful for any assistance.

I’ve recently switched my theme to Neoclassical 1.1 by Chris Pearson.
The problem I have now is that the site only shows the static Home page (which I made static myself) and the About page (a default page that came with the theme).

It doesn’t however show my ‘Blog’ page and I am not able to locate and remove the ‘About’ page anywhere.

When I change the static homepage to the default blog page it only show the Blog posts and not the other page. No matter what I do the only two pages that show up in this theme are the ‘Home’ and the ‘ About’ page.

Anybody got a clue on how I can get this theme to show more pages than just the Home and default About page?

No email sent when comments post automatically

When the box is checked for “An administrator must always approve the comment”, I receive an email when someone adds a comment. But when the box is not checked, I don’t receive an email when a comment is posted.

Is that the way it should work, or is something wrong?
I would still like to receive an email when a comment is posted.

Flash header showing on homepage but not others

I am using the NEOCLASSICAL theme but I wanted to change it from a static image header into a flash header which is not really a problem. I was able to get a flash header there but it only shows on the homepage and not the other pages. I am not sure if it has something to do with xml which is what I am using to add images. I have used direct links in my embed code for the flash but for some reason it is not working. here is the link to the site …. https://www.somemetime.net Any help would be great thank you.

Lightbox problems in Neoclassical Theme

I’m using Neoclassical 1.1 theme by Chris Pearson in my webpage and Lightbox Version 2.0.2 by Giuseppe Argento. Everything looks great in IE and Mozilla, but not in Mozila Firefox and Safari (Windows). Could you take a look: www.ripojosaklasika.lv

Add number of recent posts in sidebar

Hi, I’m using a modified NeoClassical template and want to change the number of titles for recent posts the appear in the right sidebar on this site: https://mfa.meca.edu/

Currently only five show up, but I’d like to expand it to ten.

Kinda stumpped on this. This is not fixed by changing the “Blog posts” in the “Readings Settings” under the Settings tab in 2.8…I’m just looking to change the number of links that appear on the right column.

Any help most appreciated.

Column Panels display at bottom of page after blog posts

I am using the Neoclassical Theme with WordPress 2.7.1. The Theme has three columns. The left column (panel) contains archives and cloud of tags plus a couple of other odds and ends.

The middle column contains the blog posts.

The right column (panel) contains the blogrolls.

For some reason the left and right columns no longer appear adjacent to the middle column, but, instead now show at the very bottom of the page.

The blog I refer to is Nye-Gateway to Nevada’s Rurals.

Can anyone tell me what is haywire and how to fix it?
