]]>Have in mind that the domain in question ‘schema.press’ is not pointed at our end:
schema.press. 21598 IN NS ns2.us47.siteground.us.
schema.press. 21598 IN NS ns1.us47.siteground.us.
schema.press. 14398 IN A 77.104.157.82
In this case you should contact the company to which the domain is pointed and ask about your account with them.
But I’m not with Siteground.
My registrar points to Cloudflare
Cloudflare points to my host Webhost Ninja. n both cases I did check the nameservers and IP addresses.
My host settings are set as:
DNS Status:
The NS records you have specified are not managed by our servers. Please update them to our name servers if you want to fully manage your domain with us.
I did try to migrate to Siteground but canceled the migration even before it was activated. Siteground did transfer the domain but it was never activated. And they assure me that they have nothing that still points to my domain. What should I do?
]]>My domain name is registered with Godaddy and website is hosted with Hostgator. The name servers at Godaddy are currently pointing to Hostgator.
If I want to use Cloudflare, where do I point my name-servers to? Cloudflare or Hostgator?
Please help
Thank you
]]>We are migrating from blogger with a custom domain already set.
So typically while the old site is still live (example.com), we are developing the new site without having changed the nameservers. We have a dedicated IP (185.xx.xx.xxx) so we naturally access our WIP site after editing HOSTS file.
Under these circumstances I have the following issues with Fastest Cache:
1. Automatic preload does not work at all. Manual preload gives ERRORS. Apparently, and that’s my only guess, it’s redirected to/looking for the domain (example.com) not the IP 185.xx.xx.xxx.
2. Cache works if I visit a page, but only as a visitor. If I’m logged in as admin, it does not cache.
3. If I set any kind of maintenance mode for visitors, cache won’t work. But I guess that’s natural, since it is denied access.
Is there any way we can get the auto preload to work in this state, before changing DNS and going live?
]]>I’m writing because i cannot access nomore to my website https://stampimaterieplastiche.com/. According to Siteground it is an issue due to not correctly pointed name servers, visibile from here www.dnswatch.info/dns/dnslookup?la=en&host=stampimaterieplastiche.com&type=A&submit=Resolve.
SO this is the correct name server I should use: ns1.ams49.siteground.eu ns2.ams49.siteground.eu but how can I set it up as I cannot access my admin panel anymore?
Thanks a lot!
Denise
I see a CNAME, A and NS records, when trying to edit DNS I can not find what name servers WordPress uses to change them in GoDaddy.
I did not setup this account, I was just given admin rights to it as I am the technical admin for the domain name.
What DNS Name servers do I need to list?
Thank you,
Brian
I purchased hosting from host gator. Downloaded wordpress…could NOT figure out why its not working. Then I tried the quick installation in the cPanel with Mojo Marketplace. It installed (I think) and it gives me a link to my site with /wp-admin at the end of my .com site and a password. I click the link. My site says the page does not exist. Why don’t I see the log in page?
I also read on the hostgator site that I needed to change the name servers so I followed their direction and changed it.
What am I doing wrong and how do I fix it? The only thing I am able to log onto is the hosting and not wordpress.
I am running a Mac OS X and I would love to make this as simple as possible, but the instructions are not friendly for someone who has never done it before.
]]>Yesterday I disgined a new WordPress blog:
okiwig.wordpress.com
I would to link it to my own domain www.okiwig.nl, but unfortunately it doesn’t work at the moment. I contact the domain service and they argue that all settings are correct, including the forward and the right name servers of wordpress (n1,n2,n3.wordpress.com). Yesterday it worked and I didn’t changed anything, so I am wondering what could be the issue at the moment.
I hope that you can help me out!

Toonrekko
The screenshot that is provided on the link does not help. I am guessing that with a free account you are not allowed to change the DNS servers? I don’t understand why because my client has a free account, but they also have their own domain: three60fitness.ca and it renews every year.
Pleas help me with this,
Evan
Sorry that I had to create a new topic, but I struggled to find a previous example of my problem. Have also checked codex already.
I have a domain on Godaddy – lets call it example.com – but my WP site is hosted on 1&1. I’ve set up the DNS so that example.com points to my WP install on 1&1. The problem is that after landing on the site, the url changes to the 1&1 directory which looks like https://s12345678890.websitehome.co.uk/home
I really want the site to keep my domain and not have to use the 1&1 url.
Is it a case of reinstalling WP?
Can I solve it with some kind of search and replace?
Very frustrating trying to change URLs because it invariably breaks the site and locks me out of dashboard.
