Video ThumbNails saving 4 images?!

So I have the video thumbnail plugins, and I only need it to save just 1 image for the thumbnail. But somehow it saves 4 images of different sizes. And that’s starting to pile up the MB. Anyone know how I can disable the other 3 and just have it save and store 1 image for the thumbnail?

Directory Structure and Verotel

The old version of my photo gallery website uses Soholaunch with the Verotel payment gateway integrated.

For those that don’t know Soholaunch, I installed Verotel’s htaccess file successfully by creating a duplicate of the theme, called (for the sake of convenience) theme1_my_version_for_members, and then directing the members’ area to that that theme which was protected in its own directory by Verotel’s htaccess file.

Now Soholaunch has a drawback. It gets full and then the entire admin software just hangs. So it’s new software time, and after reading up on various options I have had to dump the ideas of Joomla (because it doesn’t support Verotel), Piwigo (because the directory structure is c**p) and Gallery2 (which is boring and rather rigid and doesn’t support Flash, although it would support Verotel).

Several people have recommended WordPress.

So the questions are:

“If I create a members’ area directory somewhere beneath wp_content, can I protect it with a Verotel htaccess file?”

“Assuming it’s fine, can anyone show me an example of a good thumbnail gallery site written in WordPress please?”

Any help would be appreciated please.

Things that can’t change:

Hosting – Webfusion in the UK (avoids 18USC2257 problems);
Payment gateway – Verotel supports adult content, has a Dutch based, English speaking, Euro time zone support centre and no monthly fees.

WordPress in Flickr

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone knew the codex or could point me in the right direction for adding some flickr thumbnails to a page template ( not using a widget in the sidebar ). I basically want to display five or six thumbnails and have them linked up to a flickr account when you click the thumbnail.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thumbnails come up as gray boxes

I am using the Unstandard theme. When I first installed the theme the images were a grayish pattern. I did some research and found out how to use the custom fields feature to specify the location of the thumbnail image. Now the thumbnails appear as blank gray boxes instead of having a pattern. If I intentionally put the wrong info into the custom field the boxes return to the gray pattern like they had originally.

I have tried 4 different images. The images I have modified to be web-friendly (3 jpgs and 1 gif). None of the images are over 50k and all are the size required by the theme. I have beat my head against the keyboard for a week trying to get this thing to work. I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled wordpress from my site. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the theme as well. I have removed all plug-ins except akismet and IntenseDebate.

The only thing I can think of is that the theme I downloaded needs a thumbnail viewer of some sort that it did not come with. Any help would be very appreciated.

Post Image Not Showing Image

Short version: Thumbnails from post image aren’t showing up, and instead the default image is appearing even though the post itself is only one image. (It does work for four posts, though.) Can anyone explain in detail how the plug in works, or what the plug in is looking for to display the image?

Long version:

I’ve scoured the forums, but I can’t seem to find an explanation for this:

My site is a web comic, and so I’ve used WordPress as a base for dynamically generating pages. Essentially, each post is really just an image tag. I plan to create an Ajax navigation bar, where visitors could scroll sideways to browse through the comics. I didn’t want to use the actual comic with since it would take up too much space. Instead, I was hoping to use the thumbnails associated with each image.

Thus, I found post image, and it seemed to be a great solution. I found, however, that the image only showed up for four of the posts. The others defaulted to the image I specified, apparently unable to find an image inside the post. Obviously, though, that isn’t right because the entire post is just one image tag.

Can anyone explain (the creator, maybe?) how the plug in works? I’ve tried to look at the code, but I just ended up with a headache. Maybe then I can figure out why it’s not finding a thumbnail to show.
