For example if you add the 24/7 Retro thermal cooker to the cart and assign a location of NSW + Five Dock + 2046 you get $33.05, however if you then add another product like the Silicone Mat to the order as well the cost drops to $22.85.
Now, if you then remove the 24/7 unit and add it back in, (now added 2nd to the cart) you get a completely different shipping total of $46.65.
So that is 2x different prices for the exact 2 same items, all depending on what order they get added to the cart. This issue seems to exist mainly with the 24/7 unit as you will get similar behaviours if you replace the Silicone Mat with say a Carry Bag and add it with the 24/7.
For testing, I removed the current theme and all plugins and reinstalled only WordPress, Woo Commerce and Aus Post and still get the same issues, so I don’t think this is a plugin conflict as the default theme and fresh installs of the core frameworks get the same price issues. I have since restored the site to full working order.
Checking the forums the most common outcome is update the plugin however the extension version is 1.10.6, the current most updated version at time of writing.
Further testing, we have another site that also sells the Silicone Mat, so I created a test product with the same dimensions as the 24/7 unit on the Ecopot site for the test product on this site, and also have the same issues with the cost dropping / changing when adding them both to the cart and calculating the shipping costs – perhaps it is to do with the dimensions of the unit 38x34x34 / 5kg, as that seems to be the common denominator.
So, that is the exact same issue on 2x different sites that both use the same Aus Post plugin (and had almost identical items created and added to the carts for testing), which makes me think the issue may be plugin related or how the plugin is dealing with a bulky package when combining it with multiple items, but I could be wrong. Regardless I think I need some help to solve this one.
Thanks in advance.
]]>Question, I have trouble setting up the shipping costs.
The shipping costs are based on our transport company and they have 2 rates: Box size 1: max: 100×50×50 cm and 10 kg : €6,95. Box size 2: max: 176×78×58 cm and 23 kg : €13,20.
So let’s say the size of a product of mine is: 47×47×17 cm and 1 kg. The shipping costs for 1 of this product will be €6,95, because is it will fit in the 100×50×50 cm box.
But when you want 2 of these products, Woocommerce will calculate 2x: 47×47×17 = 94×94×34 cm, this will not fix any box and so no shipping option will be displayed…
Woocommerce will not see/calculate that a couple of these products will fit in 1 box.
Can your plugin make Woocommerce see/calculate this with your plugin?
]]>I am having trouble trying to get the shipping to revert to one Class.
I have an item that is collection only but if I add an item that we post it automatically revert to posting all the items in the basket.
Is there a way I can set it so if there is a collection only item in the basket it revert to collection only rather that posting the items?
Many Thanks
Andy
]]>I know this type of shipping is done and calculated every day, but for the life of me cannot find any succinct tutorial, video or docs on how to get it done or if a particular plugin or combination of plugins would be required. Some clear direction or referral to a source for getting this done will be appreciated.
]]>Under the Shipping zones tab I’ve used two methods:
Parcel post – Flat rate
Express post – flat rate
I’ve use the formula 20 + ( 5 * [qty] ) for Parcel post
and 25 + ( 5 * [qty]) for Express post
My issue is that the cart shows an additional charge of $5 on top of the first $5. So if there are two items the charge for Parcel post becomes $30, not $25
I’ve set up shipping classes for the two rates; entered the formula in the cost field (under ‘Flat rate’ and also added the formulas in the ‘Shipping Class’ fields.
Please help
]]>Also, I’ve not been able to use the plugin with multiple downloads. I have ContactForm7 offering me checkboxes for files, but I don’t know how to tell EBD to offer the links to those files. I can only get it to offer one. Can someone show me the shortcode they use to offer multiple? I’ve tried [email-download download_id=”1014” download_id=”1028” contact_form_id=”1011”] but that only shows one file.
Thanks,
Bob
i mean want to make template files downloadable for my customers
on my site is a button called download 5×5 cm templates
when they press the button they download
a 5×5 cm .psd file,a 5x5cm .ai file a 5×5 cm .eps file and a 5×5 cm .pdf file
so this 4 files are in a folder and i want my customers being able to download the complete folder at just one click.
now tears a plugin called wpdownloadmanager who can do this job but unfortunately the plugin is really messing with my pagespeed so im looking for something lightweight.
maybe other suggestions for me to have this job done?
kind regards, Erik
]]>We live in Texas and we sell “Football Mums” as fundraisers every year.
This year I have taken on the task of getting the order forms online using our WordPress site. I have installed WooCommerce and have been unsuccessfully trying to figure out how to setup my products.
The issue is, I have 1 main product (the mum) and then over a 200+ options to choose from to add to the “base mum”. I have tried several different ways and nothing it working. I would like it to work like this, the parent chooses the base mum they want and then they have drop down boxes for each “type” of accessory they want to add. I can do that now. My problem is, they need to be able to choose more than one item from the drop down box and I can only choose one.
I tried the plugin “Mix and Match” but all that does is give me a HUGE list of items to choose from and not drop down boxes that I can choose multiple items from.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I might get this to work? I’m open to any options.
Thanks!

$5 for 1 item
$12 for up to 4 items

Product #2:

I see the option for addon rates but these costs should be calculated automatically. How can I accomplish this?
