Moving, not minizing images when responsive

Good day.

I was successful in making my WP pages responsive in terms of the header/logo image and body text. They minimize nicely when checking for responsiveness in smart phone, tablet, etc., screens Unfortunately the images that I have within the body of each page do not minimize and actually move over the text when being responsive in the phone or tablet screen. How can I make those images (JPG, PNG) minimize when going responsive and stay in place, not moving around over the text.

Moving images on a page causes them to duplicate

I just updated my site to WordPress 4.2.2. I opened an existing page to add a few images (with a caption) from the Media Library. Once the images appeared on the page I then tried to change which image was first, second, etc by dragging the image to the correct location. After trying to drag the image it duplicated itself and appeared at the very top of the page. It also resized to a larger size. I tried to drag the image that appeared at the top of the page to another location but it just duplicated itself again and appeared at the top of the page again.

I update images for our Animal Shelter multiple times a day. I can’t work like this. Please HELP!!!

won't move images to another album

Everything working great, but I just started making albums. When I upload I put them all in the first album and then thought I’d move them to the proper one but can’t move images to another album. Nothing happens. I’ve checked the other albums in case they were doubled but no. I’ve deactivated most of my plugins and cleared cache using ccleaner and webcache. I have debugging on. I’ve checked the latest 15 pages of support and found nothing vaguely close to this problem. I’ve also looked on your website but can’t seem to find anything. https://femininefusion.net

Moving an Image with Caption in WYSIWYG Editor Not Working in 3.9

Since the 3.9 upgrade, I can no longer click to select and then drag an image with caption to a new part of the page within the WYSIWYG interface. I can still do that with an image with no caption, but the addition of a caption seems to disable that capability. It worked in previous versions.

Thoughts on a fix for this? It would help productivity a bit.

Site Crashed after moving images

Using NextGEN Gallery, I created two new galleries and moved images from an existing gallery into them. When I tried to save the changes, my site crashed and now all I get is the installation page.

Hello,

Everything is in the title: When I move 10 images from one gallery to another, it may take 30mn or more.

The database holds around 380.000 images but the tables are properly optimized and each MySQL query such as:
SELECT image_slug FROM wp****_ngg_pictures WHERE image_slug = 'image-961' AND NOT pid = 0 LIMIT 1
takes up to 10 seconds to run.

Any idea?

I want to move some images from one gallery to another in nextgen. I see there is a bulk action to move it but where do you specify the destination gallery?

My first “real” night of WordPressing. Several glitches no doubt born of sheer ignorance:

1. I deleted the “Hello World” Home Page after reading where it said, “You’ve read it, now either delete or edit” the thing, “and start blogging”. But now going to ghost32writer.com (my site), it just says Nope, Nothing Here, Too Bad So Sad (or words to that effect).

2. I had worked on setting up an About Me page which which I’m actually pleased–at least for starters. But I don’t have a CLUE how to bring up a blank page that will default to being my Home Page so I can start building the beast. ???????????????

Side note: I’ve only ever set up one other site before, with Site Build It, back in 2007. The beginning confusion is familiar; I can say that much!

3. Several problems with Inserting Images on a Page:

A. It looks like they should Drag and Drop, but not exactly. I can get the 4-way arrow symbol that says OKAY, but then it goes nowhere. EVERY image tries to insert at the very top of the page and gets really stubborn about moving. Using the “angled arrows”, I was able to move things SOMEWHAT, but it was a tedious process and none too certain, either. ANY HINTS?

B. On that same page, I’d posted 3 images. The third one turned out to be one I wanted at the top of the page (below the Featured Image but above the text)…but it wouldn’t slide up past the first image I’d posted.

So I eventually deleted image #1, popped #3 in at the top just fine–but then was unable to get ANY more images to post at all. All I had were 2, though at one point there’d been 3 inserted, and it did not matter what image I used. EXCEPT for the Featured Image, which I was able to add easily. CLUES?

C. There are also two icons I can bring up on a posted image. One “hovers” as “Edit Image”, the other as “Delete Image”…but neither seems to do anything except toggle back and forth. ??????

4. I messed up and hit “Save” on a page version I did NOT want. Now every time I go into edit that (About Me) page, it flies a big warning banner telling me there’s an autosaved version newer than the page version I’ve published–VIEW the AUTOSAVE. Okay, fine. But when you view the Autosave, I can’t find a way to tell the warning banner to SHUT UP ALREADY and GO AWAY. ?????

‘Nuff for now. Got an idea I’ll be haunting these Forums for a while…:)

Image Slider with expanding/contracting images

I’m not to sure how to fully explain this and Googling it with all kinds of words is not getting me anywhere.

What I am basically looking for is the image slider on this website: https://www.sunrisekitchens.com/sunrise/
I love the way the images are moving within the slider, and not just static, is there a WordPress plugin that will allow me to do that?
I have tried searching for dynamic image slider, image slider with expanding images, moving image slider, not quiet sure what else to call it?

Hi, please help as I am quite new at this. I am creating a site in which the images need to go near the text that describes them. I get my images more or less in the right place using the image downloader but when I click on “update” they fo haywire! they go all over the page, but mostly to the bottom. Also, some of my text jumps in with other text where it has no business being. It’s like my update button is laughing at me!! is there a certain way or order in which to add images so that they stay put? thanks so much, Jan
