So i designed a website on Omnigraffle Pro but need to make it a reality. I am trying WordPress but have not found a template for Social Media Websites. I tried using Ning but i can not move boxes the way that I want them.
Are there themes here for the creation of a social media website such as YELP for example?
Your help will be greatly appreciated.
Also, is there a template where i can move the tile of rearrange everything in my own way instead of following an exact template?
thanks
I was looking for some guidance; I have done some forum/plugin searching as well as some google searching but haven’t found a clear-cut answer. Have checked out some javascript options as well as some CSS ones but before I delved into attempting to figure this out myself, I wondered if anyone had any suggestions.
If you see this comment form on one of my websites:
https://www.rosaleeshow.com/2008/02/17/the-rosa-lee-show-at-fremont-ca/#comments
I would like to make the comment form on the right STAY on the viewable page when a user scrolls down through the comments. Using a “fixed” positioning, of sorts. This way, when they are at the bottom of the comment list, they still have access to leaving a comment and don’t have to scroll back up to do it.
I don’t mind using javascript to accomplish this; it’s not a core functionality but a convenient one.
Any ideas or suggestions or resources ?
Thank you so much !
Damon

Import works smoothly, database has new posts,
BUT the imported posts are not displaying nor are they searchable
Anything in the form of ‘
’ was changed to a simple ‘
’ (for example). How did this happen? Is there a way to turn this off?
As there were only 10 posts Im lucky, but I have them there on the server somewhere and wp sees them but they are not showing up on dashboard or on the blog. The comments show up on the dashboard to edit, and I can edit the post on which those comments are left pnce I select edit comments. That allows me to republish the post and only then will posts show up on dashboard and my blog. But since there were comments on only 3 of the post entries, I cannot get the other 7 posts to show up on dashboard or on the blog.
Anyone know how to resolve this problem???

I was an MT user. I am migrating to wordpress. Basically, I have a website where I simply used the PHP INCLUDE to include the /mt/index.php where I wanted the news posts to show up. I am trying to do the same with wordpress but I recieve errors. This worked no problem with MT… All I want to do is have the posts/articles to show up in the text body of an existing webpage. I don’t want to keep using MT but will have to if I can’t fix this easily.
The line in my php document:
<?php include(“wp_newswire/index.php”); ?>
And the error message I recieve:
Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required ‘./wp-blog-header.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /homepages/20/d113155622/htdocs/wp_newswire/index.php on line 4
Once I get this working, I will edit my template to match my MT one – it basically just hides/discludes all the extra items so all that is displayed is the posts and not the search and archives and all the extra hyperlinks.
