I tried many plugins that say they can move blog posts with images and none worked except for this. It works flawlessly as of today even with WP 5.2.2. One tip / suggestion is don’t try to export everything at once because if you have a lot of posts then you will probably timeout your hosting server and crash out. So all you have to do is export and import in batches witch is still a great time saver. So first export 1 year of posts and try importing them to the new site if that works then export/import each year separately. If you time out your hosting server doing a full year then try 6 months at a time or less until you don’t overload your hosting server. My transfer had an average of 5 or 6 posts per month since 2012 and I did 1 year at a time and it got every post and image and they are all in the media library attached to the proper post. Once I figured this out it only took about an hour… I spent like 8 or more hours with other failed attempts before finding this jewel.

Can I deactivate Bulk Move AFTER moving Posts to different Categories?

It does a job that I’m surprised WordPress hasn’t included yet.

I’ll give it 5 Stars when they clean up a few things in the interface. For example, it’s confusing that the word “Delete” under “Aktion” (Action) is used instead of “Remove” because it makes one think the post will be actually deleted.

Making a New Searchable Archive Page for Old Posts

I currently use my “Posts” page for minutes of our organization’s meetings. I want to change the information on “Posts” to news and events to be more interesting and to show up on static front page.

Therefore I would like to move all the previous (28) “minutes posts” to a new page called “meeting minutes archives”. I can just remove the old posts/minutes and paste them into a new page, but I would like that page to be a searchable archive where each of the posts can be found separately. How can I make a unique, searchable archive page for the minutes? Thanks.

Moving some posts from one blog to another

I have two self-hosted wordpress blogs (lets call them blog-A and blog-B).

On blog-A I have 300 posts and on blog-B I have 200. I want to move permanently 100 posts from blog-B to blog-A. What is the best way to do this? Also, I want to create 301 redirect for all the posts from blog-B to blog-A. Whats the easiest way to perform the above tasks?

Can't see main page

So I used the importer tool to import a blogger blog, which it did just fine. But it ended up in my main page, and when I try to edit the permalink, the only page visible in pages is another page I added at a lower level. So I need to know how to either:
1) Change the permalink of my root page
2) Move all the posts from the root page to a sub-page
3) Tell the importer to import to a different page than the root

Can anyone help?

I am working on starting a food blog and want to have my homepage be live, but also be able to add my recipe posts to a separate recipe index page, so people can easily reference them all in one place. My website is slicingbread.com

I’m new to wordpress.

Currently my posts are shown as https://www.writersblues.com/hello-world/

but i want to make the blog posts appear as https://www.writersblues.com/blog/hello-world/

I’m not sure how to do this. I went to readings settings and assigned the Posts page as “Blog” but this does not do what I want. How do I solve this?
