First, I am calling wpp_get_mostpopular, however I would like to format the list differently. How might I change the HTML? I’ve read about formatting the widget, but I am not using the those.

The WordPress.com stats offer breakdowns of top views by category and tag.

Is there any plan to extend this breakdown to the Jetpack stats version?
Is there any plan to make that data available in the api?

I need to make a “most read in category” widget, and would love to use the Jetpack stats to provide the data.

I’m trying to find a plugin that would allow me to build a tabbed widget similar to the one in the right sidebar https://www.alternet.org that shows “most read” most discussed, most shared, most emailed, etc. I’ve not been able to come up with the right combination of keywords to find it on codex, wondering if anyone has some suggestions.

Now there is only the option to show the most read for the last 24 hours. Why not give the option for one or more months or x days.

Thanks for your plugin. I’m wondering if there is any way to exclude posts in a certain category from being displayed in the widget only?

I’d like to still be able to see the read count on individual (single) posts within the category, but I don’t want this particular category’s posts to be included in the Most Read widget.

Is there some sort of modification I can make to st4_most_read.php – or would it be possible for you to modify the plugin so that category IDs can be excluded via the Settings?

Most viewed, most read posts without a plugin

Hi,
is there a way to show the most viewed/read posts without using a plugin like WordPress Most Popular Post, because with it I can customize the output better (ex. I’m using thumbtumb as image, I want to move the title above the image, etc…)

In my theme I have a function that shows most popular posts based on comment count, but I need to query them by number of views. Can I adapt it or is there any other way?

To the right-hand side of the TechRadar homepage, they have a widget of some sort, it displays:

Newest, Most Read, Most Commented

Clicking upon each tab displays the top 7 results.

Anything similar on WordPress?
