Is there any way to add an ellipsis where the text is cut off? Like this:

This is somewhat embarrassing, isn’t it?
It seems we can’t find what you’re looking for. Perhaps searching, or one of the links below, can help.
Can anyone help me on this?

]]>I’m trying to use custom posts and taxonomies on a theme I’m building, but for some sort of reason the more quicktag (<!–more–>) isn’t working with the_content(). It just displays the whole post.
Is there anything I have to declare to the custom post type to make this work? Or is there any specific step to make the more quicktag work?
Thanks in advance
I am using the Massive News theme (wpelements.com) and I am trying to set it up so that I can split posts using the More Quick Tag. I have some very long posts that I want to be able to split up into a couple of pages.
I have tried inserting <?php wp_link_pages(); ?> both into my single.php and into my index.php with no luck. Perhaps I am putting it in the wrong place.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Andrew
My post content after the <!–more–> tag are totally gone and the <!–more–> shows some empty link like https://www.myblog.com/my-post/#more-618.
When I edit it in WordPress editor all the contents after the more tag are gone, and <!–more–> tag also gone but shows up some html link instead.
For example, check this link:
https://www.blogiseverything.com/interesting/the-church-of-bones/
the more tag has become https://www.blogiseverything.com/interesting/the-church-of-bones/#more-588
and the content below are gone.
