The tabs and everything works on desktop, but not on Mobile. Even if I switch to desktop view when on my phone it still doesn’t show up for the MLA. Is there a setting I am missing?
]]>first off, congratulation on MLA, it is a fantastic plugin. I’m a total rookie as far as web developemnt is concerned (probably build a handful of basic sites in my life, most of which using Divi).
I have embarked on something more complex. I’m building a yacht chartering website and that entails custom taxonomies and custom post types. Case in point there is a CPT “yachts” and for each yacht post I’d like to use MLA both in header to slow a slider with a handful of media tagged as “featured” (I have creted a “featured” category and tagging as yes-although I can use att. tags better – currently trying both approaches.
Each yacht will also feature a yacht gallery at the bottom. There is a custom media taxonomy called “media-yacht-name” to tag media with the inividual yacht name. Each post has an ACF “yacht_name” which is intended to be identical with each “page_title” (at least when the name is a single word without spaces.
When i explicitely use the “yacht name/page title/slug” in my shortcode, MLA works like a charm and I can also filter photos with AND (so I can get only the Featured images of yacht XXX.
[mla_gallery media-yacht-name=”XXX” AND featured=”yes”]
The problem begins when i try to replace the explicit yacht name with a dynamic terms. I have tried yacht_name, page_title, sanitized them, fetched the slug of my custom post and so on and so forth and at best I only get MLA to fetch the images attached to the post.
I should point out that I have some concerns on how properly my custom post types have been registered as I’m noticing some issues either with ACF/CPT UI like Divi builder not recognising them etc. Maybe it has some relation.
Any ideas, or suggestions? I’d love any assistance you and the community can provide me with.
Thank you for your time
Hi,
I’m moving from Drupal 7 to WordPress, because Drupal 10 is so complicated with requiring command line interfaces and I’m just a History Teacher, not a software engineer. So VERY new to both WordPress and MLA. I’m finding both a little overwhelming and I have just two months to master both and get my site back up in time for the Fall classes.
I have these 925+ photos with IPTC/EXIF data I entered in Adobe Photoshop. I created custom fields in MLA. But when I import images, just the title and caption populate, not any of the custom fields (copyright, city, state, country, credit, source, etc.) show up in WordPress Media Library.
I read the MLA documentation but it’s very complicated with all the options. What can I do to get the IPTC/EXIF data to show up in Media Library, and then over to a post with the image please? I *think* MLA can do this but I’m not sure how. Thanks so much!

]]>I hope you are doing well.
I am having an issue with thumbnail generation again on https://www.claytonindustries.com/articles-case-studies/. For some reason, the first PDF thumbnail, “Gooseberry’s Frozen Custard, is generating in black. Yet, the file looks fine. Ive tried uploading s few times on different days.
The file is at: https://www.claytonindustries.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Goodberry-Frozen-Custard-2021Apr-3.pdf
I tried the following fix again that you gave me last time, but it’s not working:
Navigate to the Media/Assistant admin submenu.
Check the box to the left of the document.
Pull down the “Bulk actions” list, select “Thumbnail” and click “Apply.
Leave the “Type (o) WP” selection in place.
You may have to change the “Existing items” selection to “Delete”, but try first with the “Keep” default.
Click “Generate Thumbnails”.
Can you please help me fix this.
Nick

]]>I am looking to render a responsive list of files with the following attributes
– Document thumbnail

– Description
– Document author

– Document categories
Something like this wireframe
https://samfjallboholmar.se/wp-content/uploads/Screenshot-2021-01-04-142636.jpg
I would like a markup template with the elements for re-usability, and ideally only need to call the shortcode [mla_gallery attachment_category=’my-category’] on the page to pre-populate it with a subset of my documents.
I believe I can take care of the styling and re-arrange the markup if needed once the elements are there with the right syntax.
Additionally, can I pass the selected categories in the shortcode to be rendered as a H2 at the top of the gallery, to explain to the user what the list contains?
Again, thank you for your support and efforts to help us out!
Best regards and Happy New Year – Oloph
