Is “embed” widget still supported?

I am using WordPress 6.5.3 with Elementor v3.21.8 on the Hello Elementor Theme and Pods plugin.
I am looking for the “embed widget” that is supposed to be standard for WordPress, so I can utilize it with Pods’ custom post and the field “related” -> oEmbed.
It is neither listed in the widgets, nor it is disabled from menus. Moreover, it is not even listed in the “missing widgets plugin”.
I haven’t used WordPress for a long time, so
What happened to this widget?
How di I find it and use it?
Is there an alternative (free is preferred)?

I want a player to be fed with both YouTube and SoundCloud URLs. I tried “EmbedPress” but it is not as controllable as wanted, at least at its free version.

Template single product disappeared

Hello,
I am using a wordpress woocommerce theme and my product disappeared, I only managed to set up the description. Is there a template missing or something else?

So this one is showing:

But not the rest. All the products exists, I just need help setting back up the template. I changed something (added some conditions) and now I cant fix it.

Multiple locations per page

Hi Team, I’m looking for the solution to create multiple Location Weather widgets per page (using Elementor Pro page builder). We have bicoastal offices and are trying to show the rundowns of each. I’m partially relieved to see that not even two instances of the same location can be created, so it seems like for some coded reason the widget just won’t populate twice.

Additionally, if there is a way to remove the top city line and/or the extended forecast link in the bottom, that would be wonderful. I have never created CSS code, but from what I’ve read this would seem like a possibility.

Widget won’t save

I am trying to use this plugin for the first time and it’s not getting off to a good start. It has been activated and I am trying to add the widget to the sidebar. The problem is it won’t save. Instead it just hangs there and doesn’t get to the point where it displays on the public side. Help?

Categories scrambled and widgets selectively gone

Hi all,

To start I doubt it matters for this particular problem but I’m experiencing the below issue(s) on both Chrome and Firefox. Also, I didn’t change any of the CSS code or add any of my own between the time the site was working properly and when it started doing this.

My categories on my front page changed and now I can’t get them back the way they were. Before last week, my front page had 4 categories:
1. Ear Accoutrements
2. Neck Decorations
3. Various and Sundry
4. Wrist Adornment
Under the categories there was another area that showed newest items individually – ie, not as a category, but as individual products that had “Newest” as one of their tags.

Now, Newest is showing up as its own category, which I don’t want: Current Front Page and I don’t have the newest items along the bottom.

I cannot find anywhere to fix it. I’ve even tried to set it so no categories should show at all just to test, but the picture above is what it always shows even when I do that.

Also (and I’m guessing realtedly?), my Buzz: Woo widgets aren’t showing up anywhere. I have them enabled:Buzz:Woo Commerce Widget but they don’t show up when I want to customize:Widgets Not Displayed. They also don’t have their own menu like they did before: Buzz: Woo Missing (I wish I had a screencap of what it was before to compare, but I had no reason to take one).

Please help! I’ve scoured the BuzzStore support documents, I’ve searched the WordPress forums, I’ve contacted the theme creator – all to no avail. I have a convention coming next weekend and I’ll be handing out business cards – I need my site to work before then! Any help – or even hints on where else to start looking – would be greatly appreciated.

Site move Now WordPress Text widget broken

Hello, we host with siteground and upgraded our account recently. I began to notice that there was some content missing and went into the backend and found that the WordPress Text widget didn’t transfer over. I did a little research and apparently this is a known bug when moving from host to host (server to server). I found a supposed fix online here https://thomas.vanhoutte.be/miniblog/wordpress-text-widget-missing-after-site-move/ but that does not work for me. Fortunately SG still has the content on our old server but will just copying over the plugins do it? One of the sites we’ve worked on quite a bt since the move so just a restore isn’t an option.

Screen Options missing “At a Glance”

I’m using the Twenty Seventeen theme in a relatively new install of WP 4.9.4, but I’m missing the “At a Glance” section of the Dashboard. When I pull down “Screen Options” while in the Dashboard, there is no listing (and no check box) for “At a Glance”. I tried using the “Dashboard Widgets Suite” to restore the default widgets, but didn’t have any success pulling “At a Glance” out of the ether.
Where can I re-enable the widget’s display?

Footer widget missing

Hi there, I want to set up a footer exactly the same as the one on my other business page (www.epiphanybeads.co.uk).

Nothing I do will conjure up the Footer widget. I’ve got the Twenty-Twelve theme – is this why it won’t work? I can’t change theme now. I need to be able to set up a decent looking footer like the one I have on my other website (as explained above).

Ideally would be great to be able to do this via the widget but any other suggestions would be welcome. Something easy to use!

So far I’ve tried Customise Menu > Main Sidebar > Add a Widget (searched “Footer” – no results). I’ve also tried Widgets > and looking for the widget manually as well as Ctrl + F, typing in “footer” – nothing. Not there! I’ve also looked in the Inactive Widgets list – not there.

I also don’t have any other “Screen Options” under the Widget menu other than Enable Accessibility Mode, which also doesn’t conjure it up.

Help! Driving me mental.

Fatal error with Illdy Companion Plugin

As others have mentioned, the Illdy Companion plugin has triggered a fatal error. The workaround posted by @lucianmih helps, but I am still unable to access the Customiser to edit my front page. Please amend this as soon as possible, thanks.
