Unethical Take Over of one of my Beloved Plugin

I’ve been a loyal user of Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) for years and have used the PRO version for several of my sites for clients and personal ones, tons of it. It’s disheartening to see the forced take over into SCF (Security Caterpillar Forklift). This move undermines the trust within the WordPress community. The forced takeover feels unethical and unnecessary, given ACF’s history of reliability and user satisfaction. WE WANT TO TAKE IT BACK!

Hi, I found your plugin great! and something that I was waiting for a long time!.. but it’s not useful for me If I cannot choose by categories or product status.. currently I have 35,000 products and I need to delete 11,000 products with the “Out of Stock” status.. is there any way or some code that I can add to your plugin in order to be able to only delete the “Out of Stock” products??? I would really appreciate it!

Great but missing basics

The Plugin does, what it says and is very strong with it.

But I miss basic features like tracking informations, which I would expect from a shipper plugin. For example, if the shop would get feedback like the tracking site, we would be able to send emails / sms / push / push notifications like “your parcel is on its way” or “is ready to pick up” or, after delivery, “thanks again for ordering, here are your instructions”. I don’t understand why we still need to pay 3rd party companies to deliver this information, which are allready there. Poorly.

Terrible support, lacking features

Company simply does not respond to support requests. Issues with this plugin:
1. wishlist heart icon is not showing
2. can’t remove product from wishlist on product detail page, must be done via wishlist page
3. loading is slow, showing the loading indicator

With this type of customer experience there’s no reason to upgrade to a paid version either.

Plugin is decent but has a big issue

Plugin blocks the WP Menu setting to “Open link in new tab” which means if you have links in your header to an external site that you want to open in a new window/tab, you can’t. It will be default navigate your visitors away from your website and Support has informed me this is be design and there is no way to change it.

They need to add a feature to allow this function. Pretty basic feature but seems like a major oversight on their part. I’m gonna look around for another plugin option to build headers in Elementor.

– But the WooCommerce Payments methods settings do not find the option to enable the mobile wallets such as Apple Pay, Google Pay.

No GTM Environments

Unfortunately, for us, this plugin is completely useless because it doesn’t include GTM environments as a configuration option. Cannot even consider the rest of it without that feature.

Ticket Plus add-on missing features and poorly supported

My big complaint is that Event Tickets Plus, a chargeable add-on for the sale of tickets does not correctly support the Block editor. That alone is very poor, but was acknowledged more than a month ago without a fix, a fix date or even a listing on the ‘known bugs’ page. I have been able to make it work but only by continually switching between the older editor and the block editor.
Further, there are features missing.
There is no option to create a duplicate of events and tickets. I have the same multiple formats of tickets and have to manually enter them every time.
There is also no good way to use WooCommerce analytics or the Tickets plug in to easily see sales of tickets over time. Every event has to be checked manually. I could do something with SQL I guess, but this should be a basic feature.
Once the tickets are created, the system seems to work fine.

Hangs endlessly

Hangs endlessly. Does not put the results it has got up on screen immediately a scan is finished either so the information gained is usually lost if it hangs. Doesn’t have a checkbox type of list to allow scanning of a subset of your Plug-Ins.

The help talks of ‘getting stuck’ and what you can do about it and goes on to recommend WP Control (yet another plug-in). However, WP Control itself is so obscure and so wholly without on-screen information or hover-over help that using it just has you going ever deeper into a rabbit-hole. A pity as it could be useful to check compatibility with a Lint based check of this sort. If it worked.

Missing ‘FREE’ features

You have removed features that are part of the free version. On your plugin site you have ‘Hide Login & Admin URL’ (Free vs Pro features) as part of the free version of the plugin. This is now missing since the last update, and a few other options seem to have disappeared as well.

Update. For anyone else who cant find it. If you go to:

NOTIFICATIONS: Hide Backend – New Login URL, you will see the link ‘Hide Backend’ under the title top left.

When you click on this link it will take you to the ‘hide backend’ feature. Oddly this link isn’t attached to any of the menu options. If you look at your screenshots of the NEW dash, you can clearly see it used to be in CONFIGURE, under Lockouts.
