We’ve been experiencing some strange minification problems on a few of our client sites – I’m wondering if anyone has any insight, or has experienced this themselves…
Seems like the compiler is having trouble with a few files, and breaking CSS/JS (the browser console shows 500 errors) and content-type mismatches screenshots below:

We tried enabling “Minify error notification” to Admin and Admin+Email, but nothing happened.
]]>So I’m trying to optimize my site, but with both CSS and JS minification on, it makes my website header turn from a white background to a see through one sometimes (see pic at end). Additionally, on mobile, it sometimes causes the buttons to become unresponsive on the header and footer.
I’m trying to find and exclude the problematic files, but I’m having issues there as well.
From my testing, I believe that there are both CSS and JS problematic files. However, I’ve been trying to remove the files one by one off my “exclude” list, and I’m not sure it’s working properly. Realistically, how long should it take for the changes to be implemented after I remove a file from my “exclude” list?
I ask because I’ve been removing them one by one, until eventually one broke the header again. The issue is, I added that file back, but the header is still broken. So now I’m not sure if it was that file that broke the header or one that I removed previously and the changes just took days to come into effect, which would make testing take an ungodly amount of time.
If it helps, I’m currently only testing the JS files with the CSS options turned off completely.

]]>As of now, I have the “enable minify” setting on, and nothing else.
Anyone have any ideas?
]]>The minification has broken on about 8 of my sites, occured approx 15th Jan 2020.
All of the minified css and js files are 404’ing (seen in console network tab), and the files are not being written to the cache/minify folder.
Any ideas what maybe causing this please?

On the minify setting, I chose manual minify.
I’ve tried different minify setting such as Minify, CSS tidy, YUI compress, and YUI compress (php), but all are the same–not working.
]]>Still not possible to save anything on the minify page:
403

Access to this resource on the server is denied!
Nor does “emtpy only disk cache(s) work:
is currently unable to handle this request.
HTTP ERROR 500
Might have to wait for another fix in order to be able to use such basic functions again.

]]>we are using the easy fancybox plugin on https://pixelnostalgie.de
Since the last fancybox update our W3 Cache Plugin throws some error messages. It failed to minify:
wp-content/plugins/easy-fancybox/fancybox/jquery.fancybox-1.3.6.pack.css
because the file does not exist. And there are some other errors since the update. Here is a Screenshot: https://screencast.com/t/OsL6RykhyDC
Reinstalling the plugin did not solve our problem. Changes on our Serverconfig are not made.
best regards
