Mini-cart does not open when product is added

Hello,

We have two Woo sites, both using Twenty Twenty themes, one is Twenty Twenty Five. We have selected “open mini-cart drawer” when the user adds a product to cart on both sites, as it documents here: https://woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-store-editing/customizing-cart-and-checkout/mini-cart/

But it is not working, on both sites it just reloads the current page and displays the green “added to cart” banner.

What is going on? They are very lightweight WP sites with minimal plugins alongside WooCommerce. I can’t see any warnings about anything on our WooCommerce Status page.

Google PageSpeed Insights and Lighthouse continue to report that the PayPal Payments plugin uses a depreciated API:

I do want to use the smart buttons on the minicart, but the only solution to eliminate this error message I have read of is to turn off the smart buttons on the minicart. Has any other solution emerged?

If this issue is a false positive, as it has been written, has anything been done by the PayPal Payments plugin development team to tell the appropriate team at Google that it is not a depreciated API?

Tried it with their Ajax add to cart plugin
(to not have to reload archive or product pages)
and that worked, so wanted to love this..

But while it gives many options (even free version),
you’ll need to style with CSS yourself, even for a basic look
and get rid of some weird bugs with my theme
(a very basic blocks theme, which it doesn’t take any of its
styling from, nor gives more options than background color…)

N.B: Also had issues with variable products not opening
the drawer on the product page (only simple products did)…
but not sure if that is related to other (possibly caching)
issues I had with Ajax things in general, including with
the add-to-cart plugins…

For a quick no-hassle option, it didn’t work, but
if you already like the chosen look or don’t mind
the added CSS styling and/or bug fixes you may need, then
this could work in a pinch.

Messes up styling and Ajax MiniCart

Even with ALL modules disabled, it makes several things worse
without clearly letting the user know how to enable/disable this
(somewhere else than the modules, a setting or is it just a bug)?…

Like my (Block) theme and the Minicart from Merchant worked great
(+ a PHP snippet I had added to prevent items that I had limited
to max 1 purchase, to update the button and show it was already in cart),
adding items to the cart and opening the fly-out cart
on archive/shop pages, but now it has disabled that, and you get
an ugly inline “view cart” message beneath the Add To Cart button,
and no checkmark or text change to the ATC button after adding,
neither after refreshing the page..

…and it also doesn’t show a check-mark anymore
(plus I had the ATC button disabled after 1
of the same digital product was added to cart, and that’s also
gone… so there’s no indication for the viewer that it’s already
in their cart and only 1 can be bought…)

Then I look for a setting or module, but can’t find what’s wrong,
plus I disable all of them and purge cache and no change…!
Nor does this plugin give a better alternative in terms of
– a fly-out (Ajax) mini-cart
– and Ajax live updating of ATC buttons, when
a product has already been bought

So bugs, worsening experience, no clarity on what it’s doing behind the scenes,
illogical counter-intuitive choices and no better (instead worse)
in key areas than a free plugin and small PHP snippets I had already

Hi,
on the website?https://extraversus.it/?I have a strange error that I have never encountered before.
Basically, the “View Cart” button on the mini-cart inside the off-canvas (which opens by clicking on the cart icon at the top right) points to this link
https://extraversus.it/?wc-ajax=get_refreshed_fragments
When instead it should simply open:
https://extraversus.it/carrello

The theme used on the site is Pro (by https://theme.co/) and the theme developers have identified a conflict with the “Dynamic Pricing and Discount Rules” plugin. In fact, by deactivating the plugin the minicart works correctly.

Can you help me figure out how to fix this problem? Thank you

Payment buttons don’t work in MiniCart

Since 3 or 4 days the payment buttons in my mini-cart are not working. Paypal is loading for 2 seconds and then stops.

BUT it is working fine with the buttons on checkout and cart page. Therefore i have no idea whtas the problem. Can you help?

Woocommerce has a mini cart feature, but it doesn’t seem to be supported by this theme, or I have a plugin conflict to diagnose. Mini cart is blank after you add a product to the cart.

Mine cart side panel is showing nothing. The side panel is completely blank. Problem started after latest woocommerce upgrade to version 8.7.0.
