Database connection error after migration

Hello,

I migrated my website to another hosting service, but I get a database connection error when I try to access it.

I started with downloading the database and public_html folder from the old hosting service. Moved my domain to the new hosting party and created a new database with a fresh wordpress install. I then edited the old wp-config file with the new data, and uploaded all the website data through Filezilla to the new database. I also accessed phpmyadmin through the new hosting party and uploaded the old database to the new database. I did not change my domain name. What did I miss? And why do I still get the database connection error?

I tried everything I could think of, and would really like your insights on this issue. Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.

Migration ended in a partiatly installed wordpress site

I tried to use Migration Guru to migrate a site into a cPanel account using the key option, but when the migration ended the destination had a partially installed wordpress site.

I have used migration GURU before so I don′t know what would be the problem now.

My site was recently migrated from one hosting service to another. The AWP Classifieds Dashboard did not show up in the new site’s Dashboard, so I had no way to access it. I clicked on the “settings” for it on the plugins page, and got the error, “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.” I tried deactivating/activating and still no luck. Then I deleted the plugin and reinstalled it, it ended up in the same state – the plugin appears to be there, but no access to the Dashboard. The ads that were there worked, but I cannot access them or modify them or add new ones without the dashboard.

Problem migrating from 2FAS Classic to Prime

I just upgraded from 2FAS Classic which worked perfect to Prime and now it doesn’t work since it is incompatible with one of my most important plugins, what could be done to solve this problem and keep all my plugins?

Here is the message that it shows me after performing the migration:

“2FAS Prime plugin requirements error

2FAS Prime plugin doesn’t work properly with the following plugins: mailpoet.
Plugin functionality cannot be enabled until this problem is solved. Please ask your hosting provider to support 2FAS Prime plugin’s requirements.”

Required File Permissions to import the templates are missing

After installing the plugin for Starter Templates, in the header of page I get message:

Required File Permissions to import the templates are missing.
This is usually due to inconsistent file permissions.

I can’t add content of Starter theme!!!

Note: I don’t use default wp-content/uploads, I use my subdomain for Media library and works fine with another theme.

PS. I added previously to config file: define(‘FS_METHOD’, ‘direct’);

Admin Category Pagination Problem After Import

I went ahead and import wp_terms, wp_term_telationships, wp_term_taxonomy from the old database to the new site database. Due to circumstances I had to do this table by table. I’m noticing that the category admin is showing only 3 pages of categories while the live one shows 23. Did I miss something during the database migration other than the three tables listed above?

Product Images not showing after moving site to root

Hi,
I am using wordpress 4.7.7 and woocommerce 3.07. I will upgrade as soon as I get this problem fixed.
I recently moved my wordpress site from a sub folder to the site’s root.
Everything went fine. I kept the sub folder files as a back up.
Whenever I want to add a new product with woocommerce I add a product image. That’s fine. It’s uploaded to wp-content/uploads in the root of the site.
However when I click to see the product I can’t see the image. It can’t be loaded because it’s looking in the sub folder.
https://www.mysite.com/subfolder/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/image.jpg
For example images get uploaded from the media library to the correct folder in the root.
https://www.mysite.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/image.jpg
but when I go to https://www.mysite.com/product/myproduct/
then the image is not there unless I manually add it in
https://www.mysite.com/subfolder/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/
Also no image shown in recently viewed products and on the cart page.

Any ideas how to fix this?

I moved the website from a developer domain to the official domain and now it can’t work anymore.
I cancelled it and re-installed it but anything

Missing Images

I have just migrated a new locally developed WP site to a live site. Some of the images are there, but many are not. I ran a search and replace which located the general structure of the site including menu items, pages and some images. I then tried a SQL query, but the result was “Affected rows: 0 “, which I assume to mean that nothing changed, as still most images are missing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Site works before migrated but now throws an error HELP

I followed the WordPress codex exactly.
The site moved to a new account but its on the same server and web host.
I can’t get into the back end or front. I’ve tried renaming the plugins folder, and the theme in case it didn’t like either. Nothing worked.

This is the exact same site that works on the original account.
