After adding the filter apply_filters( “set_screen_option_{$option}”, false, $option, $value ); on line 728 in the /wp-admin/includes/misc.php the screen option is not working.

For me, after using the same function for both of the filters it worked fine. But, is it the proper way?

Because the author and categories are links, the colour is the default colour for linked text. I don’t want to change that.

I want to remove the linking so that the meta data is text with a particular colour.

Has anyone managed this?

I looked on my server for the file that would turn the Meta links back on but there are too many PHP files to look through.

Any help would be great!

I apologize for the newbie question, I am new to WordPress. How can I remove a couple of the unwanted links under the “meta” column? These links are confusing for the readers (e.g. XFN). This may be a wordpress question, I dunno.
