Hi there,
sending mails via easy-wp-smtp, the message ID is something like “******@www.domain.tld”. But it should be “*****@domain.tld” – without the “www”. How can this be changed?

Hello,

I am using Post SMTP for quite some time now and I love it. Recently I switched to Sendgrid API and tested my outgoing mails.

I get this message by Spamassassin:
“INVALID_MSGID Message-Id is not valid, according to RFC 2822”

Mime-Version: 1.0
Message-ID: [email protected]
Subject: Postman SMTP Test (lyone.co)

I use the latest version of Post SMTP.

Can you help me fix this issue?

Hi there,

I am testing my deliverability of my transaction e-mails with mail-tester.com.

Current setup: sending all mails from domain via post smtp server with sendgrid smtp server via API

I am getting An Error stating that the message-id is nog correct. Is this message id created by the post SMTP plug-in?

If I compare the message ID to other mails I receive, it seems that the message id is without brackets < and >

message-id was not matched with my domain

My website run multi site with domain base network.
After setup Easy WP SMTP and send test mail,
I found the message-id in email-source was not match with my website’s domain.

Anybody know how to correct it?

Missing message-id header

When sending a mail through a contact form (or just the test mail in the postman settings) the ‘message-id’ header is missing.
Thus, when replying to the contact mail, there will be no threading of the conversation, which is a deal breaker for me.

When I use WP-Mail-SMTP instead, the message-id header is present.

I am using Postman SMTP v1.7.2 with Contact Form 7 v3.9.3.
I send the mails through a Zoho Mail account via SMTP authentication, which does not automatically add a message-id header if it is missing. Gmail for example adds the message-id header automatically to support threaded views, but it should be the client that supplies the message id.
