After I installed you plugin
I saw Settings > Discussion Board appear on my Admin menu
If you click on this, you see 3 tabs
Options, Design, and User
okay, that is fine, but back up for a second.
How do I create a new instance of a Discusion Board?
put another way, I want to create a forum (or Discussion Board) called “My Message Board”
do i create first a page or a post?
do I then paste a short code for that forum in a page (or post)?
if so, where do I actually obtain this short code?
There seems to be no tab for this plugin that allows you to actually specify the name of a new discussion board.
sorry for sounding so clueless, but these are very basic questions about how to make use of your plug-in that are not clear at all in the documentation.
then there is also this discussion in your install notes about login or registration forms and a short code called [discussion_board_login_form]
where do i specify this form? do you supply a way for me to create this? or is it do this done some other way through some other plug in?
put yet another way, exactly how is this registration form generated?

]]>I have been advised by a couple of web developers that WordPress will not provide the flexibility I need, however I wonder if a talented pHp coder could bring this together seamlessly on a WordPress platform.
Also, would WordPress multisite be useful for this?

I have been using Attitude for a long time.
My company likes the scrolling image on the front page.
I recently had a need for my employees to have access to information
as well as an area where they can add new information.
Not just a blog but also an area where I can have general resources
available to them. examples; places to find certain products in my area.
contact information for key people in school districts.
general information that can help with social problems etc….
Almost like general info board that the employees can access and change.
In order to do this I would need to have them log in for security.
I would need to be able to monitor activity and be able to delete information
that might be in violation with policy.
It seems like I need a double purpose page.
The first page having all needed info for new business.
The second page would have a log in from the first page but would
have a new navigation bar. Would require a profile and would be interactive.
Does anyone know of a theme that would fit my need? I have been searching for
a long time but I can’t tell if any of the themes I have seen would fit my need.

Prayer Requests – I want members to be able to post prayer requests right to the website (without having to login to do that). There are plenty of plugins for prayer requests, but here’s where my needs are a little different. Congregation members like to receive a notification (from our current/old site) every time a prayer request is added. Essentially, I‘m looking for a plugin where folks can subscribe to our mailing list and receive an email every single time (no daily limits) someone enters a prayer request.
Message Board – now something similar here too. It would basically function the same as the prayer request plugin described above, but would be for news, announcements and celebrations from congregation members. It really needs the same “subscribe to the mailing list” feature that shoots an email out each time a post is made.
Hope someone can help me find great plugins to solve these issues.
