Aauuugh! I installed this plugin, attempted to merge several categories into one… and the WP installation screen appeared. I can no longer reach my site, and I’m not sure what to do next. Yes, I should have made a backup of my db before merging the categories, but I did not. I am a fool. Please help…

merge/rename categories plugin not working with 2.7

I found this plugin: https://www.bubub.org/blog/bulk-renamemerge-categories-wordpress-plugin/

It does just want I would like it to do but it will not work with 2.7. The renaming part does but the merging bit doesn’t.

I then found this plugin “Extend Categories Manager” (https://www.funponsel.com/blog/wordpress-plugins/) and this also does not work with 2.7.

Does anyone know of any other plugins that do merging and renaming of categories with 2.7?

Say I have two categories – apples, and oranges. If I wanted to merge all of the posts from apples into oranges without having to do it on a post by post basis, how would I go about that?

I Googled it and found some plugins, but they only seem to work for 2.5 – I need it for 2.6.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have two categories.. One is XP and the other is Vista.
I want to make it into one category as Windows. Is there any plugin which I can use to merge both the categories?
