Rounding the corners in media and text block

I’m using the Media & Text block in WordPress and trying to apply rounded corners to the image using JSON-based style settings. However, setting “border.radius”: “20%” in the block’s attributes does not work—the image remains unchanged.I’ve tried different values (e.g., 20px, 50%), but none of them seem to affect the image. Is there a known issue with border radius in the Media & Text block? How can I properly apply rounded corners to the image using JSON settings? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Order of elements when “stack on mobile” for Media and Text block

Hi,

Is it possible to invert the order of the elements on a “Media & Text” block when turning on “Stack on mobile”?

The support article says that the left-side element will go above the right-side one when stacking on mobile, but what I get is the image always on top independently of its initial position. Is there a way to choose which element goes on top?

Media and Text – Improving the Gutenberg block

Dear WordPress team,

The Media and Text block is one of my favorite Gutenberg blocks for its ease of use and great looking outcome.

Please keep working on improving this block.

For example:
The stacking on mobile should happen earlier because a very narrow long text column looks bad and is difficult to read.

Text and Media Block

I cannot seem to get the text and media block to work as I expect.

It will not publish the media part on the home page, although if one follows the link to the entire post, it appears to be fine.

I have tried disabling all plug-ins.

Does anyone have any ideas why this is happening, or could this be by design.

An example is posted on the site.

Media and Text Block – Media stretched Vertically

I am using the Media and Text block. The Block Editor is showing the media in its correct proportions. https://www.hollinhallseniorcenter.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Media-and-Text-block-in-editor.png

BUT when display in a browser the media is stretched to file the entire column. NOTE: I have the option “Crop image to Fill Column” OFF. I have played with the proportion handle that is between the Media and the text. It does not help.

Is this a bug or a something in the image?

Feature request – Media & Text block change size of image

I wish you could change the size of the image in the media/text block. Trying to get it to look nice so that there’s enough text to be the same size as the image is almost impossible. I don’t know why the new theme seems to prefer images in big old blocks in the center of posts since that seems to be what every bloody block defaults to. I miss floating images left or right, putting text next to them, then being able to put in a new div and have another paragraph with an image floating left or right.

I’m trying to do a list of products with the image on one side and the description on the other and I cannot understand why I can’t just change the bloody size of the bloody image. Over and over, I find that I loathe Gutenberg because you give up so much control! And then next year, webpage styles will be different and we’ll have to update everything again!

No caption for image in ‘Media & Text block’? – Gutenberg

I’m very surprised to not having been able to find a way to add an image caption in the ‘Media & Text’ block.
I looked at it through the code editor and there’s no

tag.
Yes, my image has a caption set in the media library.
If I add

tag manually it returns an “HTML Error” and messes up everything.
Can anyone explain this?

If I wanted to have paragraphs with images left or right justified, with a nice gutter around them, which block would I use?

So far I have tried with separate image and paragraph blocks, which appear to not offer this. Then I tried gutenberg media and text block. This places the image to the left or right, but only in the middle of the paragraph, without the ability to move the image up to the beginning of the first word in the paragraph.

Also the text appears Large by default, not normal paragraph size.

Then I went looking for Classic Block, because I saw that on previous posts that have exactly what I want, but it appears they are not available for new posts.

So is my only option to do this on new posts with the Classic Editor?
