Hi, I’ve recently downloaded this theme. I do have a problem, I’m not able to change the main column width.
When I create a page (with the title, the body, the header image) it shows me a “compressed” body. The body itself uses a third of the page and there’s now way to change it.
I tried to download a plugin, Fullwidth Page Templates, which allows me to select in the “Page attributes” menu the “FullWidth No Sidebar” option. That’s the only way I can set my body width to full width.
But then, with this technique, the title and the header image disappear.
Is there a way I can use to change this width, even with custom CSS or file modifying?

Hi,

I was setting up my website with “Make” theme and I’am very happy
with this perfect theme.

Now I’d like to configure the main colum in that way the site background image of the website will be visible.

To do so I found in the Make documentation following information below:

“Main Column Background Color sets the color for the main column in the site. If a background image is set, the color will not be visible. You can change the opacity of this background color to allow a Site Background Color/Image to be visible.”

What do I have to do to change the opacity of the site background to allow the site background image to be visible?

Or: Do I have to change the hex code and what is the hex code for “opacity/transparency” . Or is there something else I have to do?

When I try to insert just the word “transparent” in the hex code field nothing happen – or better this insertion is not accepted.

I’ve been searching for months for a theme that will allow me to run a hyperlocal news website that has posts from my “news” category in the first column and posts from my “features” category in the second column, and possibly even a third column from a different category.

Does anyone know where/how I can achieve this?

Including RSS feed in main column of static front page

I’d like to create a static homepage on wordpress where I can feature (via RSS) the latest posts from my blogger blog. So far I have only been able to find RSS widgets for the sidebar but I would like my posts to go in the main column of my front page.

I know once I start posting on wordpress the default homepage will do this automatically. Eventually I will migrate the whole blog over to wordpress- this is just a bandaid solution.

Any help is much appreciated! Because I was self hosting on blogger I spent a lot of time with html – I’m new to php/css!

changing width and padding – main column

Hi I’m using WP2.5 and a Silveray theme and have the following problem: I want to make the ‘main column’ wider but when I change its width, it’s padding position does not change accordingly. –ie, if I widen the column by 30px to the right, the padding stays behind in its old place. Does anyone know how to move the padding according to the width of the column? please help!!
