Space between sidebar and main content

Hi,

First, please confirm that you’re not abandoning this theme. The repository and it’s alerts about a lack of updates is always worrisome. We’ve been using it for this site for some time and don’t want to switch!

However, we’re doing a little updating… I am trying to balance the left sidebar and main content areas so they have the same treatment. To do this I first tried giving #content-right a top and right border. Unfortunately there is a gap between the top borders of the two areas.

The I tried adding a left border and discovered the space between #content-right and #left-column.
left & top border

I’ve been experimenting with padding and margins but need help with finding the best solution to arriving at a single stripe between the two areas.

theme conflict with galleries

Hi,
We are in the process of searching for a gallery to replace Jetpack since this theme conflicts with it now. This is proving to be a challenge. The latest one is Gallery by Supsystic. When a gallery is previewed it returns the following error message:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function luminescence_lite_paging_nav() in /usr/home/tekutoia/public_html/wp-content/themes/luminescence-lite/content.php on line 104

If the shortcode is then placed in a post no images appear. A possible clue toward finding the fix for this is that when I place the same shortcode in a page it works. This would be great except we need it to work in a post.

At the moment a test post is at the top of the Project Gallery blog with no contents showing. I would send you the direct link to the blog except the theme is stripping out the header and sidebar with the navigation on the blog page. The individual posts and the rest of the site don’t seem to be affected.

It would be really awesome if you would find a fix for this and update the theme. We have very simple needs, but having a gallery which will show before’s and after’s in blog posts while including the sidebar and header are must’s!

Sidebar missing from gallery page

Hi,

On the gallery page and gallery ‘post’ pages (which use the Jetpack carousel) the sidebar and heading text are missing. There is an error message at the bottom of the main gallery page:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function luminescence_lite_entry_meta() in /usr/home/tekutoia/public_html/wp-content/themes/luminescence-lite/content-image.php on line 30

We recently moved this site to a new host. There have also been some upgrades, and considering the error message, I am not sure if this is a theme or plugin issue.

site title on mobile devices

Down to the last of the details, on a mobile device the site title reappears, making it so that the business name appears twice, first in the logo and then in text directly under it. I am trying to remove the title and have tried

#site-title {
    display: none;
}

as well as

#content-right div #site-title h1 a {
    display: none;
}

Neither has any effect. Suggestions?

style list items

I have been unable to find a way to successfully change the styling of the list items on the pages. I did manage to restyle a few links within a list, but the same path (minus the ) failed to affect the list. I also went to the extreme of calling out the entire path as identified in Google+ inspect element, also to no effect. The same for creating a special

callout in Easy Google Fonts plugin.

What do I need to do to gain style control over the

conflict between accordion and sidebar in mobile

Hi, this is my first experience with this plugin, and so far the jury is out. My apologies if this issue has already been addressed. I looked and didn’t see one, but may have missed one.
The accordion works well on the desktop site, but in mobile it conflicts with the footer, both dropping behind and riding over the top of the footer content. I had a similar problem with the SP-FAQ plugin but have switched because they aren’t responsive to support requests. Major finger crossing that you can provide a solution to this.
The theme is a child of Luminescence Lite, and the theme author says it’s a clearfix issue. I tried to sort it out and couldn’t get any traction with it. The page on the site is here

Make some links have underline, remove post date,CSS validation

Sorry about piling up my issues! It seemed simpler this way.
1) We decided that the links that aren’t headers or part of the main navigation should have underlines. Since the default is for none all around I had to go looking for the best classes to accomplish this. So far the only way I have been able to add the underlines is to add

body a {
text-decoration:underline;
}

The down side is that this means everything has the underline, definitely not what we have in mind. What classes do I need to target to gain more detailed control?

2) I am also trying to remove the post dates. So far in an attempt to keep it simple I have tried

.entry-month,
.entry-date,
.entry-year {
	display:none;
}

which had no effect. None of the other methods I have found in the forum appear to apply to this theme. Which files(s) need to be changed?

3) Also, I tried validating the CSS and found that this theme throws all sorts of errors. I suspect this is coming from new standards not being fully embraced, but would like to hear the full story because we really like the theme.
