When activated all blog posts go poof — gone

Right now the Friends plugin is deactivated. But when it is activated it gets rid of or hides my blog posts.

Is there a solution to this?

But when I go to the post area under the header it say that 244 are published, but when I go to that tab, nothing.

Deactivate and then Activate a site loses posts

Because of a problem on one blog site, I needed to shut it down temporarily. I used the “Deactivate” button/link rather than the “Delete” link on purpose, expecting the site to simply not be visible to anyone, but none of the posts, pages or comments to be affected (i.e. people would not see them, but they would still be in the database).

A day later, when I went to activate the site again, the last few years of posts and comments appear to have disappeared (there are posts from 2014 and prior).

Does anyone know what may have happened? It seems a bit illogical that some posts are still there but all recent ones have disappeared.

I will start browsing the database, but it is a time-consuming and tedious process. Even if the posts (and comments) are still in the database, it may not be clear how to “bring them back”.

Lost a ton of content when changed domain links,

Hello. I have my site, EatPlayPixels.com, hosted on WordPress.

I changed my hosting from GoDaddy to FastComet and needed to change the domain links.

When I did, a TON of my content Disappeared. It took the site back to what it was in June. This includes all the photos I uploaded and posts I had posted as well as a few drafts I had saved. It’s all gone.

Does anyone know what happened and how I can get my content back? Thank you so much.

Posts Missing From Home Page

Hi,

Had this Legal theme dialed in nicely – I thought.

Front / Home page with 6 or so posts with photos.

Checked on site a couple weeks later and only one post was showing with a jumbled drop-down menu.

All posts are listed in the admin / dashboard area.

Tried changing number of posts, disabling plugins, new menu, settings and re-loaded the Legal theme but no soap.

Switched to Twenty Sixteen theme and all posts are now showing.

No signs of being hacked.

finding lost posts

I migrated my sites to a new host, but some newer posts and tables did not transfer over. They are not in drafts.

The CPanel backup I got seems to be older than the posts. The plugin backup I made with BackWPup does not support restoring, and I do not have the skills to deal with this.

There are about 25 databases in my account. I don’t know how to even start to find the missing posts and tables.

Out of the 4 sites in the account there is just one that I had added new content to, so it’s a matter of just finding it for one site.

I am not sure if remigrating the site would produce the missing content either.

Any idea on how I can find the missing posts and tables?

Hi,
I just check my site and two posts have vanished. Which is pretty unfortunate because these posts were very connected and pulling in good traffic. As far as I know my server has not been down or had any problems. The only things I have done is updates that are show at the top of admin. Can anyone PLEASE advice on what if anything I can do?

Updated WordPress and lost random posts

A syntax error meant I was forced to update WordPress and as soon as I did so, I realised that a few completely random blog posts had disappeared. Some of the better ones, frustratingly…! Surely they haven’t gone forever, but any idea what I can do to get them back? I’m not an expert at this stuff nor do I talk the talk but I can figure things out as I go and would be grateful for any help! Thanks.

Lost posts after changing nameserver

I’m new to WP and blogging in general. I originally set up via Godaddy but while following the instructions of another blogger I switched to Bluehost. After switching I lost 2 blog posts–not a lot but my blogging is part of my doctoral work and it would be really great if I could recover them. Any help is appreciated!
