Losing Data

I finished adding a great deal of data on this DRAFT page yesterday. A couple of days ago, this page lost some data on the page but then, between yesterday and today, that page is completely empty except for the theme. There was an accordion on the page and I am using the DIVI template. Don’t know if it is plugins (safe mode made no difference), database connections, php, or something else.

Translation lost

I do not know what happened, but when I was after few week checking my page and I wanted to check english version, I noticed that most of my translations lost… It is weird as I did not upate pages, I only updated plugins and of course translatepress as well. Now I have version 1.7.8.
Wordpress 5.4.2; PHP 7.4.3, MySQL 5.6.45.
It is terrible as it took very much time till I translated all my text and now everything is lost. Any idea what could happen?

Posts lose elementor formatting after being expoted

Hi. I have a problem where i can successfully export posts created with elementor into a xml file, but importing them into my own site causes it to lose all formatting and elementor features.

I was able to do this export/import process with no problems until a few days ago. Also ive noticed the problem only occurs when importing the files into my own site. The posts show up fine if imported into any other wordpress site.

What do you think is causing the imports to fail on my own site? Just to be clear i have already tried the following.

-deactivating all plugins (apart from elementor).
-changing theme to nineteen sixteen.
-deleting and re-installing the elementor plugin.
-editing wp-debug in wp-config.php but could not find item to edit.
-wordpress and elementor are on latest versions.

here is a screenshot showing how some parts of elementor are missing from the dashboard: https://imgur.com/9HTecIP. The example page i referenced here is missing buttons where ‘next episode’ and ‘episode list’ are. But on other pages the lack of elementor causes more serious problems.

I have found the solution for the WordPress connection loss problem on shared hosting. I have noticed somebody reporting that it i8s caused by the EDD plugin. I am also using EDD and started checking this out. I used P3 Performance checker to test the loading times of my plugins. To cut it short this is what I found and this is the solution for the connection loss problem:
1. Many plugins loaded very slow including EDD.
2. This was caused by the new WordPress Heartbeat Api function that was introduced since Wp 3.6. This new feature is especially devastating with shared hosting.
3. You can either completely disable this function or control it by means of a plugin to get rid of the connection loss problem
4. I have noticed that I do not need this function at all so I completely disabled it.
5. This was the end of my connection loss problems. Edd then loaded exceptionally fast as well as my other plugins. Loading times increased from 33 seconds to 17 seconds.

Usually, you can completely disable it if you’re the only person working at any given time in your site and you know that you don’t have any important functionality that heavily relies on it to work properly.
To disable it, go to the functions.php file of your theme and paste these lines right after the opening

add_action( ‘init’, ‘stop_heartbeat’, 1 );
function stop_heartbeat() {
wp_deregister_script(‘heartbeat’);
}

This will completely disable this functionalioty and it will no longer add to the executions number and CPU time used in your account.
How to Limit HeartbeatIf you don’t want to stop Heartbeat completely, you can simply limit the execution frequency. You can do this by using a plugin called Heartbeat Control.
Simply install it by following the instructions in our tutorial on How to Install WordPress Plugins and activate it. Then go to Settings -> Heartbeat Control and from the Override Heartbeat frequencydropdown choose 60 seconds. Finally, save the settings and that’s it.

lost everything after update

Hi,
I lost everything after updating BSP (calendars, extra, coupons).
Now I no longer use the BSP. BSP does not work, I cannot add calendars. It doesn’t recognize the pro version.
Luckily the site is in a draft stage. How can I prevent it from happening in the future?
I will reinstall BSP. But I need to know how to make updates without losing everything.
