I’m using WordPress right out of box, with no additional plugin activation or any tweak at all. But I have a big problem: It does not publish long posts. Usually, when posts have more than around 1550 words, they just don’t update. And it is like this: “If you paste a 2000 word article, it won’t publish at all, if you paste a 300 word article first and add more 1700 words to it, it just don’t update!”
In past few days I searched lots of forums for the issue and I just haven’t found a single answer for it. Please help!

]]>I’ve got my longer blog posts broken up into more than one page and at the bottom it has the pages as links, 1, 2 and 3.
That’s perfect for when you get into the actual post, but is there a way to hide those page numbers on the main index page that you see when you first bring up the site? I want it to just have the “Read more” link and not have the extra links to each individual page.
I’m guessing this piece of code is in the index.php area?
Please and thanks!

I’m very new and am just setting up my forum here. I’m noticing that wp is posting the entire posts which is great except in the case of a long post. Does anyone know how I might either be able to alter how much of a post is visible on the front end (as in viewer needs to click to read the rest of the post after seeing a the first bit on front page), or perhaps “back to the top” type buttons?
If you’d like to see my forum it’s at:

Any suggestions are appreciated!
Many thanks!
]]>I started a blog few days ago and I can’t find the option to show only a preview of the post and not all its content.
Someone told me to add this:
<!–more–>
Is the only or best option? If so, where I have to add it?
Thanks
]]>I have a large library/index type of website. For example, I have nearly 3,000 items listed in alphabetic order. Such as 100 in category A, 200 in category B and so on. Now each category, or letter (A-Z) is a single page with all the appropriate listings, aka one large post.
My question is hopefully a simple one. What are the Pros & Cons of listing one large post with many different ‘entries’ or ‘listings’, rather than making that one large post into many small posts?
My website is https://www.trojanlibrary.net for a more visual example. I appreciate any feedback, thank you.
