I have websites running on Godaddy server and their cloned websites, created with Duplicator, running on local PC.
Their data are on;
/var/www/html/website01/
/var/www/html/website02/
/var/www/html/website03/
/var/www/html/website04/
etc.
They are installed on VM of VirtualBox.
Now I have updated/upgraded the websites on Godaddy server. I wonder how to updated/upgraded their cloned websites on local PC?
Whether I have to delete their data and rebuild them?. If NO, please advise what will an easy way?
Thanks in advance.
Regards
]]>I have just installed WPVivid on a Local by Flywheel installation and after trying to backup either on local or on remote location I get this error:
Error: An exception has occurred. class:PDOException;msg:SQLSTATE[HY000] [2002] No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it. ;code:2002;line:42;in_file:D:\My e-books\Posao\LOCAL WEBSITES\Alpenhouse Single\alpenhouse-single\app\public\wp-content\plugins\wpvivid-backuprestore\includes\class-wpvivid-db-method.php;
I have restarted the server, clicked on “Trust” certificate in Local by Flywheel, deactivated and reinstalled the plugin.
I am not a developer so I really don`t know what else to do.
Can you help?

These are the steps I took:
– I copied the live site wordpress files via FTP and loaded them into a folder within htdocs
– Downloaded the live site’s database from my host
– Created a database in local PHPMyAdmin and imported the live site’s database
– Added a user with the same credentials of live site’s database
– Used an SQL query to replace www.livesite.com with https://localhost/localsite
Localhost shows “Index of” but clicking the link to /localsite prompts a download of a PHP file that reads:
<?php
/**
* Front to the WordPress application. This file doesn't do anything, but loads
* wp-blog-header.php which does and tells WordPress to load the theme.
*
* @package WordPress
*/
/**
* Tells WordPress to load the WordPress theme and output it.
*
* @var bool
*/
define( 'WP_USE_THEMES', true );
/** Loads the WordPress Environment and Template */
require( dirname( __FILE__ ) . '/wp-blog-header.php' );
Can anyone help?

]]>I’m just getting started with WordPress, and currently using an XAMPP server to try and get a local installation working. The localhost environment is working fine, and I’ve successfully followed the steps here to create a database and user account for WordPress using phpMyAdmin.
However, when nevigating to localhost/wordpress to enter my credentials into the relevant fields and begin the WordPress installation, I get the error:
Error establishing a database connection
I also discovered through a fluke that when I enter no password at all in the password field, I get a different, more specific error that claims my credentials are correct:
Can’t select database
We were able to connect to the database server (which means your username and password is okay) but not able to select the hashim_wordpress database.
Are you sure it exists?
Does the user Hashim have permission to use the hashim_wordpress database? On some systems the name of your database is prefixed with your username, so it would be like username_hashim_wordpress. Could that be the problem?
However, this can’t be the case because that user account definitely has a password set.
My database name is hashim_wordpress, my user account is Hashim, and my password is definitely correct. phpMyAdmin lists my server as 127.0.0.1, but I’ve also tried localhost.
What could I possibly be doing wrong here?
Thank you in advance, I’d really appreciate the help.
]]>Site load the home page, bu nothing else. Can’t access wp-admin and any post at all. The message I receive is:
Not Found
The requested URL /<post-name>.
Apache/2.4.7 (Ubuntu) Server at localhost Port 80
I don’t know if it would be useful, but when I call ‘localhost’ at the browser, it never loads at the first time. I first receive the white screen and have to refresh to open home page.
Any ideas of what I’m doing wrong in my local installation, so I could access wp-admin and the other links?
]]>What i am doing:
1. Download XAMPP for Windows and download wordpress and extract it.
2. Install it and put wordpress in htdocs file.
3. Go to https://localhost/phpmyadmin/index.php and make a databank
4. open the databank, go to privileges and give a username, ect
5. Global privileges: Check all –> ok
6. Go to https://localhost/wordpress/wp-admin/setup-config.php?step=1
7. Give all information and click Submit
And then it appears:
“Error establishing a database connection
This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at localhost. This could mean your host’s database server is down.
Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
Are you sure that the database server is running?”
I dont understand it because it when i did the installation for my friend it worked perfectly…same approach. It doesnt make sense!!!
I looked every tutorial but I dont find any solution. How I said i tried the installation then times and different disk.
Anyone with a solution. I m going crazyyyy….

Sorry if the pictorial story gives you problems but each saves 1000 words (supposedly)
Any sugestions why it does not work? If no answers I’ll try it on it’s own without other plugins.
