]]>Currently we have wordpress installed on a load balanced system and we can’t get it to work without turning off one of the servers.
We would like to install it on the wordpress platform, but we’re concerned about the SEO hit we will take.
The current url is www.pens.com/blog
How can we install it on the wordpress cloud and still keep it pointing to that URL so that we don’t lose the SEO?
Thanks
Wade
]]>I have WordPress installed on two web servers which are setup in load balanced mode. It is Windows 2008 server and MS SQL Server.
I need help to configure upload file path. Basically in order to maintain files on both servers, I was thinking the best option is to have shared folder for both servers and give that path as path for file upload.
Is it possible in any version of WordPress?
Help appreciated
I’m running WP 3.5.1 with 0.9.2.8 of the plugin. I seem to be having issues with the fact that my wordpress setup is load balanced across 4 web servers. They all share the same files via a NAS share and share 1 DB server. They are running APC and I’ve seen other people having issues with apc.stat being set to 0 and settings not updating, I have it set to 1. It seems to have started with 0.9.2.8 as we had no issues with this before.. is there any kind of changes made in the new version that would affect settings across multiple servers? There are no reverse proxies in front of them, straight up apache. Being logged in is not cached either.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

]]>issue i have is …. publish a post ….w3 purges cache on the machine i’m on …but the other servers still show the old homepage …. what i’m thinking of is purging cache every 10 minutes or so automatically unless there is a better way …how would i set this up is there a way already built into w3 or what do you recommend?
thanks!

]]>I have set up a subdomain that points to the master server (which lsyncs with the slave), so that all changes and uploads can happen on the right one. However, upon login, WP wants to take me to the URL listed in its settings. Is there no way to set a (sub)domain for the admin section?
NFS is one solution, yes, but it is a slow one. One more variable cannot be that hard, no? Is there no way to do this?
Thank you so much for your help…

When the blog backend is accessed the request may be served by any of the servers. If an image is uplaoded when a user makes a post at the moment the image may be uplaoded to any of the servers. If the image is created on any server other than the primary server it will automatically be removed.
Any advice on how to ensure the images are uploaded to the primary server? In the past we have solved this type of problem by having a separate address for the backend which is always served by the primary server. Wouldn’t be very scalable though.
