I amended the date on my footer (Oshine theme) which appears to have upset my website causing the content of each page to disappear. I received an automated email from WordPress informing me that the plug-in Wordfence is a possible culprit. I have no coding experience but looking through forums it may be throwing Google, with invalid page URLs . Has anyone any thoughts as to how I can put this right?

p.s. I have cleared Chrome’s caches

Live traffic is now unspecified

I just built a new wordpress site and added wordfence. On my old site, the “Live Traffic” page of wordfence showed the country of origin of each IP. My new site just lists “unspecified” as the country.

Has this feature been removed? Is this a bug?

Inaccurate GeoLocation by town and nation

I noticed recently that the Town and Nation information in the live traffic log has become more inaccurate. This is not desirable because webmasters rely upon this information to file criminal complaints for hacking and we need to know the correct jurisdiction to which to file a complaint.

My wordfence is no longer showing the full Live Traffic information like it used. Now I am only getting one entry shown.

live traffic pages visited is not page name

Hi,

When I visit any page on the website it doesnt show the page name visited and only shows the string like in the link below. That was the about us page I visited and thats what shows in the live traffic. It is similar to every page I visit and they all start with /wp-json/…….

I’m not sure if it is a setting I’m missing. Hopefully someone can help.

Can’t understand why it is not possible to block certain IPs

I got this message in the live traffic :

Means somebody is trying to login. But when i want to block the ip i get a message saying that this IP is reliable. So why does it try to login ?

How can I block it ?

404 Blocked Plugin Upload

Hi All,

When uploading the plugin Bodycommerce by DiviEngine, I get “A potentially unsafe operation has been detected in your request to this site”.

I read in the docs I can allowlist the block but this is happening on a sub-domain and the blocked interaction is not showing up on Live Traffic.

I tried installing Wordfence on the sub-domain and recreating the 404 error and it still did not show on the Live Traffic list.

I also tried disabling the firewall and that also did not work and I also tried disabling the whole plugin and that also did not work.

How can I fix this?

Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.

We searched for an answer in this forum and Wordfence’s knowledge base. Couldn’t find one.

It appears your Live Traffic module (Safety Only mode) does not detect or log 404s. Is their a reason for that?

Hello,

While “Don’t log signed-in users with publishing access” is checked, i still see live traffic from myself.

I even tried to add myself in “List of comma separated usernames to ignore”, with no luck. Still i’m in the live traffic lists.

I’m missing something maybe?

I was revising my site on Google Search Console and there are certain pages that they try index but fail. When I expand for page info, this is what I read:

https://hispaniatranslations.com/?wordfence_lh=1&hi plus a long string on numbers. I do protect my site with Wordfence security, but I have a question on what this means.
