I have wondered why on Iphones the link-target doesn’t open in a new tab/window, even the checkbox in the settings (Open in New Window) is checked.
As I studied your code I have found in the public.js (line: 533) this if-statement:
if (areaData.target == “_new” && !isMobileSafari) {…}
So it seems that this is on purpose and I ask why. Because it makes no sense to me.
Because we link to an other page, we need to jump to a new tab/window.

How can you create a button that opens a new page when you create one? I do not see a setting for that.

]]>In Settings > Output > Calendar link targets > [] Open calendar links to event details…..If you tick this field and save the settings, that setting keeps reverting backed to a false/unticked state. The only way I can get this field to stay ticked/true is to override it in the database manually each time – not ideal
Please can you look at getting this form field to stick/stay ticked on saving? Problem is a) I don’t want popups from the calendar b) Whenever we change any other settings in this output area, that field always returns to the default unticked/’false’ setting – Guessing just a form field name or action error.Thanks! ]]>

This time I need a help: we need to open related links (I display related links by tags) in a new window. I use a short js right now to attach ‘_blank’, but we need to do it more correct without additional js.

]]>“link target” is missing from my appearance/menu. I’ve checked “link target” under “screen options”; but it still is not there.
I’ve attached two screens showing that I have clicked “link target” under “screen options”; as well as one of my menu’s where you can see there is no “link target” showing.
any help would be appreciated.
btw – I’ve tried this in two themes. (a) the wp 2017 theme, and (b) striking theme (premium paid theme).
