Main content and sidebar not lining up properly?

I’m not sure what I did to have this happen, but one day all of a sudden my content decided to show up below the bottom line of my side bar instead of right next to the side bar. I checked the margins and size of the sidebar and content…the width of everything total is 872 pixels and I have the primary/secondary sidebars set as 230px and the main content at less than 600px including margins, etc. SO it should all fit width-wise.

I checked out my html via the inspector.w3 website and there aren’t any open divs or tags open that would cause this.

I tried to make some changes via making a .containersidebar that had an absolute position, and a .containercontent that had a relative position that floated right. unfortunately now it’s acting all crazy, and my browser sometimes shows the content below and sometimes all the way out to the right-hand side in the background area (if you scroll right).

Website looks great on all browsers through Mac, but doesn't line up through PC

So I always cross reference my work across browsers, but I just had a client point out to me that though it the site looks fine on ff, chrome, safari etc when viewing on a mac, many things don’t line up when viewing on a PC. (How embarrassing, I didn’t know the platform also creates a difference).

Lining up issue and why is my home page font bold?

Hi guys, I’m using the theme ‘blackboard’ and I’m having two issue:

1) My home page font looks wrong. It looks condensed and bold even though the font should be the same as my other pages.

2) I can’t seem to line up my content down the left hand side. If you notice my page copy has a right indent for some reason.

Hacking a template need help with background issue

I am setting up a wordpress site as we speak. I hacked the CSS to add a custom background. Now the custom background makes the sidebars look strange. It seems the white background behind the sidebars only comes down a little past the sidebars. Is there any way to hack it and get the white to flow all the way down like the body of the page? The bottoms do not line up on most pages. Any way to make the center white all the way to the footer?
