I haves tested several free form plugins, but Forminator offers a feature I couldn’t find with another plugin. It is about the ability to limit the submission of options from a select field. I wanted to let users choose an option from a list and when chosen noone elso could pick that particular option.
Forminator offers the solution! Great job.

Limit Submissions count is not working

Hello,
when I check the Limit submmissions checkbox in the Settings -> Restrictions of a form, the form cannot be submitted on the frontend anymore, displaying red error message thet submissions has been unsuccesful on submission.

Also I noticed, that, when I go to the Settings -> Restrictions tab, an I hit Save on the form, the Limit the number of times the same value on a field can be submitted checkbox will turn on by itself, even it has not been checked before save.

Hello, I have a WordPress site and want to use a wordpress form plugin to allow my users to submit a form that sends their writing to be marked. I want to limit the number of writing pieces to a specific number for each user such as 10. The problem is that a user may send more than one piece of writing to be marked together, for e.g. a user may send 2 pieces of writing together. Is there a way I could impose this limit (10 writing pieces in total) on users with wpforms? I have thought about asking each user in the form to write the number of pieces of writing they submit this time and then this number be stored later so that the next time the user submits the form, the number of pieces of writing submitted previously is compared to the maximum limit and if exceeded, does not allow the form to submit, but I don’t know how to achieve that. Does wpforms allow this to be done in any way?

Life span submissions don’t work

I set with da screen, the maximum number of submissions of the form before it disappears. I limited the number to 1, logged in from different devices and tried to submit the form at the same time. The limit doesn’t work. I can send an indefinite number, I have already tried to delete the cache of the site and of the various devices, can you help me? Thank you.

Limit submissions on select

I’m selling a limited number of places on a camp on my website so I set the limit to 6 on the select that I’m using for choosing which week parents are booking their kids into.

As happens, somebody’s booked into the wrong week, but what do I do with limits on the form options? I don’t want to allow too many people to book onto one option or remove the option if there’s still actually one available.

Do I update option A to 5 and option B to 7 to account for the switched place or does that reset the totals to the limit from when I update the form?

Limit form submissions by date

We created an application form with a single-select field that allows applicants to choose a specific program they’d like to apply to. These programs have different application deadlines. I’d like to be able to limit submissions to a selected program by date – making it impossible to submit applications to a program after it has closed. We currently manually remove programs from the single-select after their deadline has passed, but this doesn’t work perfectly since we have to wait until the following day. Is there another way to limit these submissions by date, or is this a feature Forminator may develop in the future?

Hi, I want to have a sign up form for a conference. There are limited seats. So I would like options that will only show as long as there are still seats available. When a number of people have signed up and an option is full, I want this option to not show in the Contact form. Can I do that somehow?

Somewhere I think in the form setup there was option to turn on maintenance so form would not show. I can’t remember where it is.

Gravity Forms duplicate prevention based on select fields

I have a form used to enter data and multiple people use it. Is there a way to prevent duplicates based on only a few select fields and not all? In the form, one of our fields is an initial text field, where the user puts in their initials. In a case were two people are unintentionally entering the same data, this initial field will still be different. Right now we export entries and use a pivot table to find duplicates. Any suggestions to prevent different people from entering the same data? Is there a plug in that notifies the user if they may be entering a duplicate entry?
