Image Lightbox Fails for Ver. 3.3.10

Currently using WordPress 5.5. the image lightbox does not open in NGG ver. 3.3.10. Click on the image thumbnail in the gallery, the image opens in the browser window on same tab. Issue is same for latest Chrome and Firefox versions.

After rolling back to NGG 3.3.6 (still using WordPress 5.5), the image lightbox opens after clicking on the thumbnail without problem.

Problem with Shutter Reloaded

Hi NextGen Support,

I’ve used “Other Options” –> “Lightbox Effects” and selected the “Shutter Reloaded”. It seems to be working OK, but all of the navigation icons at the bottom of the page are missing:

Next, Full Size, Close, Previous – are still working (by clicking on the text), but the icons are missing. It seems the function attempts to retrieve them from the wrong path…

Any possible solution?

problem in displaying the extended article, caused by the Nextgen gallery plugin

Hi, I have a problem in displaying the extended article. By clicking on the highlighted image of the article preview, it does not pass to the extended article, just as it happens if I click on the title. I have disabled the Nextgen gallery plugin and the display of the extended article becomes correct.

Android browser doesn't display lightbox effects correctly

Nextget V2.0.66.37. Using any of the lightbox effects and an Android tablet (Android 4.0.4), the images are displayed behind everything else. (I’m using the Inkness theme. With this I can see bits of the image behind other parts of the page.) After some searching I found that the problem is with webkit not handling the z-index value correctly with position:absolute. The solution is to add the following CSS:
#fancybox-overlay, #fancybox-wrap {-webkit-backface-visibility: hidden;}
which doesn’t seem to have any other side effects. As it is a problem with webkit it might affect Safari as well. I’ve created a child theme and put the CSS into the child theme stylesheet. This is for the fancybox effect; for the other effects the id’s will be different. For the lightbox they are: #jquery-overlay and #jquery-lightbox. The fancybox seems most suitable for mobile devices because the images are scaled to fit the viewport.

NextGEN Gallery: Lightbox Effects – prettyPhoto

Hello,

I recently updated to NextGEN Gallery 2.0.66.29 from version 1.9.7 and I’m having trouble getting it to use prettyPhoto for the Lightbox Effect.

In version 1.9.7 you just installed the prettyPhoto plugin, went to Gallery / Options / Effects, selected “Custom” from the dropdown option, then entered rel=”prettyPhoto[%GALLERY_NAME%]” in the Link Code line box.

But in version 2.0.66.29 I go to Gallery / Other Options / Lightbox Effects, but then there isn’t the option for “Custom” from the dropdown box.

Is there a different way of doing this in version 2.0.66.29?

The main reason I want to use prettyPhoto is because that lightbox has a slideshow feature.

Lightbox effects are shown in double

Hi from France.
I have a website which presents this issue with the Lightbox effects list : the effects are listed twice in the pop-up menu except “Shutter” which appears only once. I have desactivated all the other plug-ins, trash and reload the entire plugin folder but the names are still appearing twice. The issue seems to be just aesthetical but it bothers me for some months now. Any idea what it is happening ?

Next Gen Gallery – Broken Lightbox Effects

I’m having issues with the lightbox effects on my galleries. This happens with Next Gen Gallery (2.0.66) + mqTranslate (2.6.2.6). I opened the ‘Other Options’ of the NGGallery and went to the ‘Lightbox Effects’ tab in order to make some adjustments. It seems that all the effects are gone! The ‘Show Advanced Settings’ for Lightbox Effects doesn’t do anything.

It seems that people having these issues are all using mqTranslate. (On NGGallery support page) Also, my other website that currently runs on qTranslate is working properly.

No Lightbox effects working on specific theme

WordPress and Next Gen up to date. I posted a question earlier but just have a specific question regarding this aswell. Is there any obvious reason why lightbox will work in all other themes I preview but not work in one specific theme (zendion). Everything looks correct to me and it works in the other themes? Can anyone point me in the right direction with this?

Other Options > Lightbox Effects – won't save

Just migrated site from Dev to LIVE. Went to Other Options > Lightbox Settings and have been attempting to update the paths via the form fields BUT they don’t seem to save. However in querying the database the values from DEV do NOT appear at all. I am guessing that there is some kind of cache file somewhere in NextGen gallery or somehow the plugin is pulling data from the old data source? Anyone else experiencing this?
