I use Wp-postratings and I want to limit people to vote:
5 times per 24H period
I wonder the best way to do that in 3 or 4 line of code.

If you could only tell me about disabling after 5 votes

I think i can deal with the 24H period.(cron job)
If get 80% of the code or good direction.
I can deal with the rest thanks.

After more than 4 years of using the same layout, the old layout (version 2.0) has been finally replaced with this newer (version 3.0) layout. I think some of you may find this layout a little dull as compared to the previous layout because of the colors used. I am trying to come out with a variety of color schemes if possible because of the colors are controlled by CSS, the only limitation is choose the color. Do note that I am not a designer but a programmer. Most programmers are poor designers and most designers are poor programmers.

Problem with Gamerz File Explorer 1.20

Hi, this isn’t a really WP plugin but many of yours maybe heard it or use it because the author developed other plugins for WP. However im trying to configure this php script (gamerz file explorer 1.20: https://lesterchan.net/portfolio/programming.php) as instructions i have made a folder in my web space called gfe and upped all its content (https://www.digitalking.it/gfe) then when i go this address i see the error “invalid directory”; i suppose i make some mistakes in the configuration file (you can browse and see the source here: https://www.digitalking.it/fileNice/config.phps), the folder content that i want to display is in https://www.digitalking.it/fileNice (naturally not with the fileNice php script that im temporarily using but with this Gamerz File Explorer 1.20)
Maybe im wrong with the absoulute path (im under TopHost, italian hosting, Linux)

As promised, I have release updates to 12 of my plugins and added 2 new plugins. All of them are compatible with WordPress 2.3 but not all of them are backward compatible with WordPress 2.1 or 2.2.

The 2 new plugins are WP-DownloadManager and WP-PluginsUsed. As the name of the plugins suggest, WP-DownloadManager simply enhanced your WordPress by adding a simple download manager to it. WP-PluginsUsed will displays both active and inactive plugins that you are using in your WordPress blog.

Trying to figure out if there’s a plugin that will allow me to set up a ratings tool that operates like it does on that cool site that’s always at the top of the wordpress visits list — www.icanhascheezburger.com.

Looking into the Lester Chan one but don’t think it will operate the same way. Does anyone know if this exists?

My WordPress Plugins June 2007 Update

It is 1st June 2007 over my side (GMT+8) while the rest of the world may still be at 31st May 2007. I am proud to present to you my 12 updated plugins out of a total of 14 plugins. Most of them are just bugs fixes and some new minor features here and there. The plugins that changes the most are WP-Polls, WP-PageNavi, WP-Ban, WP-DBManager and of course WP-Sticky is now 1.00 instead of 1.00 beta 2.

WP-Polls now feature multiple options, future poll scheduling, poll data log mining and some parts of the admin backend are now AJAXed.

WP-PageNavi has been revamp in terms of looks and options as you can see at the bottom of this page, it features digg style design navigation with the use of style sheet and now almost all the options can be set in “WP-Admin -> Options -> PageNavi”.

I have added some new features in WP-Ban, like banned by referrers url, banned by specific IP range, exclude a specific IP from being banned and the ability to preview banned message.

I have added scheduler to WP-DBManager, the ability to optimize, backup, backup and email the database dump file after X number of days/weeks/months. I have also added a Repair Database feature.

WP-Sticky on homepage only

Hi, I’ve been trying to edit the WP-Sticky plugin so that it only works on the homepage. I’ve tried using the is_home function and accessing the $post_ID, but cant seem to get it to work.

I’ve been trying to edit it at around line 70, in the ### Function: Sticky Query bit. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Updated My Plugins For WordPress 2.1

Alongside with the release of WordPress 2.1 today, I have updated the following plugins for WordPress 2.1. Most of them will work for WordPress 2.1 only and it will break if you use it for WordPress 2.0.x. If you need any plugin for WordPress 2.0.x for some reasons, the download link is included in that plugin’s readme.html. I have also release 1 new plugin called WP-ServerInfo, it will display your host’s server PHP and MYSQL information (integrated into WordPress Admin Style) on your WordPress dashboard.
