Large pptx file won’t download

This plugin works beautifully for all except a large (76MB) Powerpoint file; with that file it throws the user out to the error page instantly (so it would not seem to be a timeout problem).

force_dl is not working, even with the PDF file on the same page – I definitely do not want the user to try to open a large pptx file in the browser!

Problem with Large File

Howdy! I believe this is more of a problem with my WordPress site, and not Memphis Docs. But I’d like to know if there’s a workaround. If I try to upload a large-ish file (around 100MB) to Memphis Docs or the Media Library, I get an HTTP error. I’ve done the PHP max-file-size edits, and it still happens. I’ve been using FTP to transfer these files to the IIS server, then I use a plug-in that allows me to upload a file from the server to the Media Library. But, I can’t get it into Memphis Docs that way. I also FTP’d the doc directly to the mdocs directory, but it doesn’t appear in my Memphis Docs Library. Is there a way that I can get it into the library if the file is in that directory?

And, this is on an Intranet that can’t be accessed from outside.

Hello, my product feed is almost 13MB and sometimes web server crash and make as export only 35 products. This is a crucial error for me. May I ZIP somehow my XML file?

I used your plugin and the zip file produced is at 2gb. My destination hosting has limits on its upload file size (php.ini) and I cannot change the settings on this hosting. I tried to restore via URL and the destination server stops because of this limits.

I will do this manually by uploading the zip file on FTP and place it on the default backup folder like your plugin will create.

My question is that will it work and will it restore the website if I manually upload the zip file and bypass wp-admin?

Large File returns Error 500

Hi,
I noticed that downloading a big file uploaded in the “private files” section fails with an error 500 (I checked my hosting LOG but no details are provided).
The very same file with another plugin (download manager) downloads with no problems, so it shouldn’t be something by the hosting. Anyway, as I checked on previous support questions, here’s my phpinfo output for relevant entries:
memory_limit 512M
output_buffering 4096
post_max_size 64M
upload_max_filesize 128M
max_input_time -1
max_execution_time 300

Again, on a different plugin it works (I also checked both source codes and tried to have them match when handling the file serving but had no luck).

Any suggestion?

Large Blogger xml file import to WordPress

Hello All,
My boss has two Blogger blogs and I suggested he move them to WordPress for more functionality and to have his blog under his main website.

I thought this would be an easy task, but ran into one roadblock after another. The first one is that his site is hosted on an sftp server for HIPPA compliancy (he is running a medical site), so I’m kinda blocked on some of the normal functions of WordPress. Ex: I have to manually install plugins instead of being able to install them through the dashboard.

Another issue is I don’t have access to all the WordPress directories, the database or the php.ini file. The company he is hosting his website with doesn’t ‘feel comfortable’ giving me access to all directories under /blog where WordPress is installed.

He has two Blogger blogs, one is smaller than the other. I was able to import the smaller, 2MB xml file. The other blog exported as an 85MB file and I can’t change the file upload on the php.ini as I don’t have access to that.

I did come across something online about breaking the file down into smaller, uploadable chunks. Anyone have any experience with this? Is there an easy way to do this?

Sorry for the long post, I wanted to cover all the information. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Upload video via ftp wordpress will NOT see it

I want to use a video. It’s too large to upload via wordpress, a little over 101 megabytes. So, I used ftp to create a folder “video” in the wp uploads folder, and uploaded the video. I can’t insert it in a post with wp because wp doesn’t see it.

How can I force wp to recognize it so I can use it?

It has detected a large file

SimplePie/error_log [91.19MB] – Can I delete the contents of this file

1. Will my URL (download link) to the product be protected by woocommmerce?
