Hello, there is no right-CTRL key on my keyboard and it is impossible to make some combinations using only the left hand. Is there any customizable code or is this problem too difficult for Elementor makers to solve? I use the Ctrl+P combination a lot, it is not practical to hide and open this panel with the mouse. How to add a keyboard shortcut to the UPDATE button?

I wanted to make a keyboard shortcut for the UPDATE button on the Woocommerce Orders screen. For example, hitting (Shift+Ctrl+S commits an UPDATE). Really the question could be expanded to include all kinds of keyboard shortcuts for various functions, such as saving changes to Product page.

But I suspect that’s only going to work on WordPress blog posts, not Woocommerce orders. I ran it as a code snippet and I couldn’t get it to work anyhow, in WordPress posts or in Woocommerce orders.

Disabling keyboard shortcuts

Hi!

How do I go about disabling keyboard shortcuts? Either disabling them alltogether or disabling just specific ones would be great.

For instance, the shortcut (right ALT) + F causes tinyMCE to enter fullscreen mode, when trying to insert a left bracket character “[“.
Our users have been reporting their dislike of this behaviour.

We are running a network installation so editing the theme’s functions.php does not work for us. We could stick something into wp-settings.php though.

Found easy way to bypass source code lock in Firefox

WP Content Copy Protect successfully blocks Ctrl+U keyboard shortcut in Firefox which is used to view source code of a HTML page.

However, if I run Ctrl+B (view bookmarks) followed by Ctrl+U, then it pops up the source code window. Can this be fixed?

Hello,

This is another of my favorite kind of posts, the “I saw something wrong but I don’t know if I’m the only person affected by this”.

When it happens : not in the Visual Editor, in HTML editing mode.

When I select a block of text and hit my good old keyboard shortcut to create an hyperlink, Alt – Shift – A, instead of popping up the Javascript hyperlink creating window, it simply positions the “cursor” on the “link” button (as if I clicked around it, or as if I had been using the tab-tab-tab-tab-tab-taaaaaaaabbbbbb keyboard navigation, you see the idea ?)

The solution is simple : hit Space, and the menu pops up, af if I had clicked it.

But other users may be taken aback or miss the trick to hit Space.

I don’t know if I’m the only person having this problem, but at least, I’ve come to report it
