Reset password – Invalid Key Error

I have tried the following both the links provided on https://docs.wpuserregistration.com/docs/how-to-redirect-reset-password-link-to-user-registration-login-page/

I receive the email and then the I receive a Key Invalid error. Thus unable to reset password.

The Key is invalid.

Hello,

I downloaded the certificate from the WP Force setting page and in it are 5 files:

Importing those to my host, Media Temple I am asked to paste into three fields.
(I open these with text app.copy and paste)

After doing this the alert on the page says “The Key is invalid.”

please help, thanks

Really struggling to resolve this problem.

Is this ‘key invalid issue’ one that derives from WordPress or Woocommerce. Really not sure where to focus on with one.

Seems it has not resolved.

key invalid in link password forgotten email

We are having a problem with invalid keys in the links generated by WordPress which users receive after they request a new password when they have forgotten their password.

User flow:
A user has forgotten his password and clicks “Password forgotten?” and fills in their username. A mail is now send to the emailaddress of this user with a link they can use to create a new password. The mail is received and seems to have a well-formed link, however this link is not working as the key is deemed invalid when you use it (also after copy-pasting and whatnot).

After going through the regular procedure with regards to bugs I found out that the issue seems to be with the All In One WP Security plugin because it worked again when the plugin was inactive and stopped working when it was activated.

The login page has been renamed and the link in the forgotten password goes to the correct page, the problem is with the key that is deemed invalid for the username.

P.S. We’ve had an earlier problem where the link was malformed (%38 injected in the link somehow, which was resolved after an update of the All in one Security Plugin).

Newbie Admin Locked Out–Lost Password & Can't Get New One

This is really embarrassing; I’ve been blogging regularly for 6 months, took a blogging hiatus for 3 weeks and suddenly I cannot remember my admin password. Nothing I’ve tried works and I’m darned if I can find where I wrote it down. My fingers don’t seem to have any keyboard memory. So idiotic.

When I use the “Forgot Password” option, I receive an e-mail from
my site’s login.php and a generated key to my username which won’t hotlink. Pasting it into the browser brings up “Sorry that key does not appear to be valid”.

So, I’m stuck with this circular response going nowhere. I use Hostgator for my site written on Magazine Basic. I’m locked out of my blog as admin, so what can I do?
