Google Sitekit Ipv6 issue

Sitekit stopped working from one day to the other, without any known changes, i am searching for a solution for over a month, but found in the end that there is a difference between the ipv4 and ipv6 connection, where the ipv6 connection is blocked (403) for some reason while the ipv4 connection works correctly.

The message in wordpress when installing sitekit is very generic and therefor making it hard to search on any solutions, as the message is: google_sk_service_connection_fail

Which seems to be correct as the server defaults to ipv6 for outgoing traffic to https://sitekit.withgoogle.com which is correct as the site sitekit.withgoogle.com is a IPv6 enabled website. Except it gives Error 403 (Forbidden) where as the IPv4 will work correctly.

Maybe i am searching wrong, but so far i have not found any solution but only a lot of questions.

Ipv4 and IPv6 are located in Germany and should not have restrictions as far as we know.

(1) Can we use both IPV4 and IPV6 IPs?

(2) Is this module capable of handling both Static and Dynamic IPs?

(3) Does the module accept and recognize dynamic IPs? (e.g. IPV6 IPs automatically-generated by a business or home router)

Need some help configuring Login Whitelist

I want to configure the Login Whitelist function properly, because I keep getting a lot of failed login attempt emails and I’d really like that to stop.

Before locking myself out, I am wondering whether I have to use IPv4 or IPv6 IP addresses in the Login Whitelist. Or both?

I’m hoping the (static – I think?) IPv4 is enough, because I’m pretty sure my (dynamic) IPv6 address is constantly changing a little bit. Or does an IPv4 address changes as well?

If that’s the case, I have no idea how to use the Login Whitelist function properly. So if someone could explain how to use this function in the right way, I’d be very grateful!

Hi Team – we have not been able to get our web guy to work on this so im jumping in myself. i do have a a tech type background so i understand things but am no expert by any means
we dont sell a lot…a few items a month is a good month. but this is still important to us

WordPress 5.4.2 running Salient Child Theme theme.
Running PHP version: 7.3.12
WooCommerce Version 4.3.0
WooCommerce Elavon Converge GatewayVersion 2.2.1

Woo commerce plug was working in june and is not working now
getting a timeout on all transactions. I called our payement gateway provider, Elevon, and they informed me that they have been getting lots of calls from woo commerce users and pointed me in this direction.
They indicated that woo commerce has made a full jump to ipv6 with a recent update but Elevon doesnt recognize ipv6 yet on only expects ipv4 communications.
i have not been able to locate this in any setting
any advice?

It works,

You can block 1p v4 Ips. but not the new 1p v6 and when someone comes with the 1p v6 than he can blog your login if he now your username what is not difficult to get and you must ask for a new password for your self.

So it is a protection but not perfect.

It will be good when the makers a 1pv6 built in in this plugin.

XAMPP – Changed WordPress URL to IPV4 Address, now I can’t open it

Hi. I’m using XAMPP for about 10 days and already found a problem. Days ago, I’ve been reading this forum to get solutions for opening my WordPress localhost website on my Android phone. The solution was to change the site URL in WordPress admin settings from localhost/wordpress to IPV4 address.

The address was 192.168.1.103 and now the last three numbers of this IPV4 address are changed.

That so, I can’t open my website on my localhost anymore, and can’t find out the solution to change the website link back to the default (localhost/wordress), since I can’t open my WordPress on my computer anymore.

I found a solution to change my config.php file, but none of the .php files can’t be found on php My Admin.

Any help?

thank you for maintaining this plug-in. I appreciate the simplicity.
Lines 88 and 255 throw “undefined offset” notices, if no IPv4 is available, then as a result 136, 137, and 142 throw “headers already sent” warnings. I ran into this, in addition to not being able to add myself to the bypass, as my ISP no longer provides an IPv4 at all.
Please make the plug-in IPv6 ready, or at least check for a valid string. Thanks.

404 Event logs IP blocking request

Been appreciating the 404 Event Logs feature. I can have visibility on attempts of exploits from suspected (malicious) IPs. One thing I would like to request though.. Is it possible to do blocking via subnet (/24) instead of individual IPs?

I have some user who login with IPV6 and because of that have dynamic IPV4 adresses. Is it possible update (idea) to log IPV6 or IPV4 depending on IP-address so I can still use the plugin?
