Hey everyone, so I just bought my hosting and domain through hostgator, im on hostgators customer portal right? It says wordpress is installed and the name servers are the same as the ones sent in my Getting Started email like it says to have it, I even clicked the “Manage WordPress” Button assuming this would take me to my site that I can finally see and install themes to and edit, but each time I go to my website it says the DNS address could not be found, even going through hostgator lol. is the website just not running yet? im very confused. any help appreciated, thanks!

How do i add my WordPress theme to my Godaddy hosting

I have downloaded a wordpress theme from Themeforest.com and i do not know how to edit or upload the theme to my hosting which i paid over $100 for with godaddy. How do i upload the theme and then start to edit it and make it mine so my website can start to look awesome.. Really need someones help.

3.5 Update issue

Once we updated our WordPress site to 3.5 we have gotten many warning signs and are now unable to even log into the site. If someone could help us resolve the issue it would be appreciated.

New server, posts not showing

After following the correct steps, I have moved servers for my blog. In admin under Posts it will say All Posts (44), but click on it and shows nothing (same when entering website – except it shows a search bar and text “Not Found”).

Click on Users and it shows a full list of users.

All settings are correct.

The only thing that had changed between move is the path from /home/sinnybo/ to home/sinnyboy/.

Any ideas please?

I’m doing the “Detailed Instructions” install and am stuck on Step 5: Run the install script.

It says: Point a web browser to start the installation script.
■If you placed the WordPress files in a subdirectory called blog, for example, you should visit: https://example.com/blog/wp-admin/install.php

I go to that URL and it redirects me to https://www.iana.org/domains/example/ – the IANA example domains page

I have no idea where to go or what to do from here.

error on wp-login (completed troubleshooting list)

installed ok, 5 minutes even.
install.php linked to wp-login.php, but page delivers “Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage” error on the way to making me insane.

what i tried on windows 7 running ie 8:
defaulted to 2011 theme, removed plugins, cleared cookies & cache, user login code is the correct ($user_login = $user_data->user_login;). firewall not the issue.

i’m sure it’s a major beginner’s error. can anyone help?

I am new to wordpress and still very much in the first steps of learning the ropes for how to run websites with it, so if anyone gives me a tip, please, bear this in mind.

I recently installed wordpress 3.0.5 on a XAMPP localhost on my pc and during my experimentation decided to switch themes from the basic twenty ten to something else (fusion theme)

Shortly after I get these three notices above my dashboard, in the qu8ickpress box, and in incoming links:

I am having issues with Step 5 of the install process for WordPress. I can’t seem to run the install script. CuteFTP says my PHP is not running, but I contacted IX Web Hosting and they said there doesn’t seem to be anything wrong with my server. I’m very new to this and have no idea how to fix it. Any help would be much appreciated!

Dumb Install question

I have installed WP 2.8.6 and everything is working fine. Here is my issue…

I want to install or move WP from website.com/wordpress to website.com/news

I have tried renaming the directory. I have tried going through the settings and I cant seem to get it right.

Can anyone please point me in the right direction?
