When i enable debug and install active Elementor with tgmpa it has error: ” An error occurred while installing Elementor Website Builder: The plugin generated unexpected output. Notice: Function map_meta_cap was called incorrectly. The post type elementor_library is not registered, so it may not be reliable to check the capability edit_post against a post of that type.”
Please help me check it.
Many Thanks.

]]>I set up the local folder to contain WordPress files then created the virtual host in WAMPServer and set up the database using PHP MyAdmin. When setting up the database, I made sure to select “MariaDB rather than MySQL. After doing these steps, I went back to WAMP, selected Your virtualhosts –>easylivinghomeservices.test and started the WP install.
I get the following error:
Cannot select database The database server could be connected to (which means your username and password is okay) but the?database could not be selected.
I used the username “root” with no password as I have done in the past. The message indicates that doing this is not the issue.
I can log into the database through PHP MyAdmin, There isn’t anything there because the WP install won’t run. Last time I set up a local WP site, WordPress populated the database as part of the install process. Is the process different when using MariaDB? I have never used MariaDB before but couldn’t find any information on using it as my database when installing WordPress.
Again, I made sure to select MariaDB when I added the database in PHP MyAdmin.
I have set up local sites many times without a problem. I have always used MySQL for the database but am using MariaDB for this site as this is the database that is used by the hosting company. (I don’t want to run into issues because I used MySQL locally and will have to use MariaDB when the site goes live.)
Is the cause of my problem the fact I used PHP MyAdmin instead of something else?

]]>In January I installed WordPress. I then realized, in order to keep my old site while building my new one, I needed to create my WordPress site on a localhost first.
I could not get my old site to reload so I contacted my webhost’s support to reload it. They did something with WordPress and got my old site back up.
On 2/24 I finished building my WordPress site on my localhost and am ready to launch it on my domain.
Unfortunately, when I try to install WordPress I get the following error “An installation already exists at as per our records. To re-install the application please uninstall the existing installation!”.
Softaculous thinks I already have WordPress installed However, the same page gives me the option to scan for current installations. When I scan it says no installations can be found.
I went into File Manager and manually deleted all WordPress files that remained from the previous install. I also manually deleted the db and dbuser associated with the WordPress install. I still get the same message when I try to install WordPress.
The wonderful people at my webhost do not seem to understand my problem, no matter how many ways I reword it. The seem to think the error message is telling me that I have SohoAdmin installed and Softaculous can’t load WordPress while I still have SohoAdmin installed.
]]>I’m trying to install Autoptimize and am using the Shotpimizer theme. WP plug in page says ‘not supported’ so I manually downloaded, zipped and installed myself. This message appears each time:
“autoptimize” has been deactivated, it interferes with site operation and is not supported on WordPress.com.”
I have deactivated all current plug ins bar woocommerce, kirki, jetpack and akismet. Nothing seems to work. Interestingly, i can see Autoptimizer in Settings>Autoptimizer, but when I select this option, I receive
“Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.”
Is there a way around this and are there specific plug-ins I need to be aware of that conflict with Autoptimize? I’ve been advised to use this plug in to fix some issues I’m having with my site in mobile and tablet view.
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers
Shan
