When converting text to links in the wordpress editor, on the pop up the “Add Link” button is mostly hidden on the left

Not able to insert/edit a link

I recently installed 4.0 and now I am not able to insert or edit a link. When I highlight the text I want to use as a link, the insert/edit icon lights up, however, nothing happens when I click on it.

Any suggestions on how to fix this problem?

Visual Editor Insert/Edit Link not working

I’m new to WordPress, but for the life of me I can’t get the Inset/Edit Link to do anything in the visual editor.
I have deactivated all my plugins. Set my theme back to TwentyFourteen.
I have followed this article
Tried a different browser Chrome and Safari on the local machine – Chrome on a remote machine.
Enabled Script_Debug (which assume is working as there is an entry in the javascript console “JQMIGRATE: Logging is active”)
I’ve also checked the console and can’t find any errors.
The only thing I can find is if I drill down through the page, I’ve found the following html relating to the button:

I can’t link to the site as it’s a local install (and in the admin side of it).

Is this just something that is disabled now or am I missing something?

i don’t know why but this insert/edit link is not working anymore .. tried all browses n tried deactivating all plugins but no luck at all.. any suggestions n yeah m beginner so does’nt know about coding n all

any alternatives guys? i’m stuck due to this issue however remove links is working just fine

Hi everyone!

I have just setup wordpress blogging platform with networksolutions. It was in a way a dissapointment to find out that I needed to create internal links manually. I did try RB Internal Links plug-in. However I do not want any short code inserted into the text.

I really miss the Insert/edit link dialog from www.remarpro.com site where I can link internal pages visually by picking them from the list. So, this brings me to the question. Does someone know of such plug in or a way to accomplish this? I have tried to do a search on forums but cannot find anything useful.

insert/edit image question

Hi All,
two parts to this question … well, maybe just one.
Do I first have to ftp an image from my ‘puter to “images” on the site side before I can get it to work in the insert/edit tool?

If that’s not necessary, what do I use for a URL in the insert/edit box?

In other site builders I’ve just used the browse function to find my pic in My Pictures, then opened it. Have I missed something in WordPress?

for some reason today, when i go to insert/edit links the edit box is empty. it worked fine yesterday, and the only change that i can think of was an update of firefox.

Insert/Edit Link: Cancel & Insert Missing

I just upgraded yesterday to 2.1. Love the new features and fixes! The only problem I’ve noticed so far is that when I try to add a link using the visual editor, the normal box comes up, but the buttons “Cancel” and “Insert” are missing. If I tab a couple times, they appear (and everything else in the box disappears). However, they don’t work, and I can’t close the box. The only way to get out is to navigate to a different page and then come back.

Any idea if:

1. this is a bug in 2.1,
2. there was a problem with my upgrade, or
3. there’s a compatibility issue with a plugin?

I can’t link a URL in a POST

I’m trying to add a simple URL link in a post that I am writing (insert/edit link) but when I add the link URL, the link becomes my blog address plus the link that I submitted. So it looks like this: “https://www.braintreefinancial.com/blog/www.dinersclub.com”

All I want in the link is the desination URL, www.dinersclub.com.

What am I doing wrong?
