Hello, since the latest update of WordPress 6.1.1, I discovered some issue with the automatically generated previews of inline links. (So I’m not talking about embedded links from other websites!) Usually, for every page I make a square 1000x1000px thumbnail as a ‘featured image’ and another one for the OpenGraph/Twitter cards plug-in that manages the preview link outside WordPress. The latter image size is 1200×630 px. Before the update, the automatically generated previews of inline links, used to select the 1000×1000 px featured image thumbnail. This image was shown on the left side of the preview link, in small size, with on the right side the first lines of the text of that page. However, now, when I try to embed an inline link via ‘Add Media – insert from URL’, WP selects the larger image of 1200×630 px, and then crops it. To be honest this looks very ugly, the thumbnail is not readable because of the random cutout. Besides that it makes the inline link appear much bigger than before. Where and how can I change this?

Hi,

I’ve been alerted to the fact that the inline download link is no longer showing after filling in the form. I’ve checked that the shortcode is correct and the IDs are pointing to the right places, and I cannot see anything going wrong in the console, so just wondering if you’re able to identify what’s going on here?

Hi, I notice that this plugin works strange,
I do have 2 major issues with it tho.
The email is sent, regardless if I choose the option not to send it or even force that information on the shortcode using -> delivery_format=”inline link” <-

My other big issue and the main one is that this doesn’t seem to work at all.. because logged out users from wordpress cannot submit the form. It gives the error all the time, while me, being logged in, work’s as it should minus the sending email part.

Hi,

I try to create a link that is inline with the text, but of which the explanation (so the part that shows/hides) sits below the text.

I find this is only possible when using a button, but I’d prefer just a link with an arrow icon.

This is the code I’m using:

How can I make sure that the explanding/collapsing text appears below this whole line, instead of right after the word ‘cheese’?

I tried adding and but that didn’t work.

If i use the ‘Simple Link’ option as well, I couldn’t make the ‘clickable word’ part of the sentence.

Download monitor, Contact form 7 and Email before download not working anymore

Hi,

Since i updated the plugin ‘Download-monitor’ I can’t receive any attachments after I fill in a form on my website. The E-mail I am getting is working perfectly, only no attachments. Even if I do not choose to sent an attachment but instead an inline link in the plugin ‘Email before download’ I get a correct E-mail with download link but this link is not working. https://www.ictwhitepapers.nl/wp-content/plugins/email-before-download/download.php?dl=5016efdf0007f9a49153d4134f221cb1

INLINE LINK displaying is not correct

Hello,

I have intstalled the following plug-ins
email-before-download Version 3.4
Contact Form 7 Version 4.9
Download Monitor Version 1.9.7

The problem is that the INLINE LINK displaying is not correct.
What do I need to change?

New Inline Link Feature, I do not like!

The new inline link feature actually takes more effort to use than the old way. Most of my links I want a separate tab to open with the new link.

With the previous version, I would click the link button. and I could paste my link and select a check box to open in a new tab right away.

Now I click the link button. And have to click the Gear button to open the window that allows me to check the open in a new tab checkbox. I now have to move back down to where the link is and click an extra button.

Is there something I’m missing here? Is anyone else annoyed with this new way of linking? Is there anyway I can switch back to the old version of linking?

[Plugin: Email Before Download] Inline link & email not working in contact form

I am using a combination of Contact Form 7, Email Before Download and Download Monitor to allow users to download a PDF file from the home page via an inline link. When a user presses the download button, a message saying the “message was sent successfully” appears, but the inline link doesn’t. I tried doing it via e-mail by changing the settings in Email Before Download, and I get the same problem, the email doesn’t get sent, even though in both cases I receive the e-mail myself informing me that somebody used the contact form.

Does anybody know by any chance what could be causing this problem? I have looked for information on this forum and on the Internet, and none of the solutions found have helped me so far. For instance, I have in the footer.php file, and the equivalent header code in the header.php file, so I’m not sure if it’s a problem with AJAX or not.
