I’m new on WordPress. I have created a website and I want to set a page as the default initial page. I’ve already learned how to do that (settings > lecture/read (idk, ive got it in spanish) > use static page) BUT if I do it, the template replaces the page. Let me show you what I mean:

As you can see, it is not set yet as default:

I know they look similar, but they are not the same. The second one is the template, and I dont want to show the template to everybody. I want them to see the page, which I have and am customizing.

This is the first time I encountered this issue, on all other sites the setup just worked fine.
The only thing that I did was replacing some old development URLs to the correct production URLs – and they all look correct, the site works fine, no issues.

How can I further diagnose this issue? Why is the required parameter (site_id / site_code) missing?

I want to create an effect where the initial letter is always the first letter.

Some help needed I have a little issue with multiple sidebars in a theme that I develop. There are four sidebars and on new install WP is placing the default widgets in sidebar 2 and 3.

Because only one of the sidebars is actually a sidebar, is there a way to place the widgets in specific sidebar?

I have products which belong to multiple categories. A user will click on (for example) Coasters in the left hand menu, which will then show them coasters. When they click on an individual coaster, it then changes the breadcrumbs and the category highlighted in the menu to another category that the product belongs to – in this example Highland Collection.

This makes the whole process so messy and puts the user off going back to look at different products of the category they initially selected.

Is there a way to maintain the same category the user selected initially? I’ve looked into Yoast Primary Categories, but this involves coding and seems to only affect the breadcrumbs. Also, a bit unclear as to whether this is available for the free version or not.

We’ve added the calendar within a wordpress template with the shortcode [tribe_events category="examplecategory"] which outputs as a monthly calendar.

As soon as you start navigating through the months, the featured events start showing again after refreshing with AJAX.

Is there a simple fix for this?

Is there a way to set one of the galleries to open on a different filter (not show all). I’d like each gallery to open with an initial filter set instead of show all.
