As background, both self-hosted sites use WordPress as the interface and so there’s an associated WordPress.com site but it’s believed it shouldn’t be required for SNAP. i.e. mywebsite1.com has an equivalent WordPress site: mywebsite1.wordpress.com and same settings for mywebsite2.com
the SNAP settings on mywebsite2.com are as follows:
Account Info:
XMLRPC URL: https://mywebsite1.wordpress.com/xmlrpc.php
Blog Username: mywebsite1.com
Blog Password: <password to log into WordPress for mywebsite1.com>
Settings this up prompts the error:

]]>She left a admin handover document which had a the following information had the user name and password but it does not match when I try and login – saying the password is incorrect – I then do the whole ‘lost your password’ thing – I reset the pasword and try again but it still says it is incorrect – also, the user name in the handover document and the user name that comes in the email is not the same so I have tried the new password under both user names …
Now I cannot even try and access it as I get an error saying “you do not have effiecient permission to access this site”
