I have run this scenario many times. Always with no problems. Now this.

Has anyone had the same problem and know of a solution? I have exported the files several times and tried to import them. Always with the result of this error message.`

When the URL has been created, I copy the URL to the destination site in the plugin and it comes back with “Error Message : Incompatible Archive.”

Suggestions?

The plugin encountered an error while extracting the zip file using WP’s zip file extractor,the following error message was returned:
Error Message : Incompatible Archive.

Temporary files created in /home/ronwongc/public_html/wp-content/wpclone-temp will be deleted.

I’ve posted a message (Sept 10) asking for
assistance and it’s not been answered

so, as far as I can tell, the plugin is
broken

I’ve installed the plugin, and tried a full back but never see the backup URL. (the databse backup works okay)

There is a lot of site content outside the WP folders

wp-admin
wp-content
wp-includes

but presumably the WP Clone only tries to backup these folder?

I haven’t a clue what this means and have actually got this message when trying to upload another plugin.

Please help. Step-by-step instructions would be appreciated.

So I try to update the vervion of WP to 3.3.1 and got this message

Installation Failed”

Can anyone help me to clear the situation?

Now that I have learned how to enable the FTP server in Mac OS X Lion — Why did you remove the GUI Apple? Security concerns? — I have just discovered that I can’t perform an automatic install of a zipped WordPress plug-in from the WordPress site, or even install a plug-in by uploading the zipped archive from my hard drive. In both cases, after it is unpacked, I keep getting the error “incompatible archive”.

Installing the plugin…

Incompatible Archive.

Plugin install failed.

This last time that I tried, I watched the “wp-content” folder.

The archive was indeed uploaded to the “uploads” folder.

The archive was then unzipped in the “upgrade” folder.

But then everything stops, and I get the above “Incompatible Archive.” message.

Does anyone have any idea why this is occurring?

More importantly, does anyone know how I can fix it?

I’ve been trying to upload some new themes to my wp-admin backend and keep receiving the following message no matter how many different themes I try to upload.

” Incompatible Archive. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Invalid archive structure “

I have looked online for some help and although many people seem to have had their problem sorted by uploading a different version of http.php into their wp-includes folder this doesn;t work for me and in fact makes things worse as none of my backend pages work then. I’ve now reuploaded the original http.php file but am unsure where to go from here as I’m still receiving the above error message.
